Law Centres Federation

Website of the Law Centres Federation (LCF) the co-ordinating body for law centres in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. The site includes background information about the LCF and the history and development of law centres and access to justice. Guidance is given to the work of the law centres along with contact details to all law centres arranged by region. Policy and research documents, leaflets and copies of the LCF newsletter are also provided. Parts of the site are restricted to members only.

Maritime Law Association of Australia and New Zealand

Website of the Maritime Law Association of Australia and New Zealand (MLAANZ), a professional organisation whose members include lawyers, academics, ship owners, surveyors and insurers. The site provides information about the Association's history, activities, directors and committees. Some of the committees have produced reports which are available as PDF documents. There is a page of links to other maritime law associations and educational and governmental bodies related to maritime law. MLAANZ's constitution, journal and newsletter are available to download from the site.

Société de Législation Comparée

The Société de Législation Comparée (SLC) was founded in France in 1869. Its members are academics, lawyers and judges with an interest in comparative law, in France and elsewhere. It has consultative status with the UN, the ILO and the Council of Europe. The website includes the full text of its constitution (statuts) and a selection of conference papers and speeches.

American Society for Legal History

Web pages for the American Society for Legal History, a professional organisation seeking to further scholarship, teaching and study relating to all legal systems. ASLH draws its membership from teachers, academics, practitioners and students interested in legal history. Details of the ASLH officers, directors and committee members are provide, along with information on conferences and links to related websites.

UK College of Family Mediators

The UK College of Family Mediators is based in London and sets standards for training and practice for family mediators in the United Kingdom. Family mediation is a process designed to help separating couples agree practical arrangements with regard to divorce, children, property and finance. The College holds a searchable register of members who meet their standards and promotes family mediation to the public. Their website contains information aimed at family mediators and people interested in training to become a family mediator.

Asia Foundation

The Asia Foundation is based in San Francisco; it seeks to further the mutual interests of the US and the Asia Pacific region. The Foundation's main areas of interest are governance, law, civil society, economic reform and development, international relations and women's political participation. The website gives information about the programmes it funds, news of its activities and events and a list of its publications, many of which are freely available online.

International Society of Family Law

Web pages describing the aims and work of scholarly society the International Society of Family Law (Association Internationale de Droit de la Famille, or Internationale Gessellschaft fur Familienrecht). The website is hosted at Brigham Young University in the United States. It provides information about membership and key officers, together with details of publications and conferences, copies of the ISFL Family Letter and a page of web links. Parts of the site are restricted to members.

University Association for Contemporary European Studies (UACES)

The University Association for Contemporary European Studies (UACES) is a UK-based organisation for both academics and practitioners. It promotes research and the establishment of research networks, provides a forum for debate. The website has a Resources section providing videos, podcasts, blogs, and advice for PhD students and early career researchers.  The Publications section links to the Association's open access journal, Contemporary European Politics, and other journals; it also includes blog posts, and lists recent books by UACES members.

ADIJ - Association pour le Développement de l'Informatique Juridique

The Association pour le Développement de l'Informatique Juridique (ADIJ) is an organisation for those interested in legal aspects of computing. It promotes interdisciplinary research and communication between professionals and disseminates information. The website publishes details of forthcoming meetings and conferences. Ordre des Avocats de Paris

The Ordre des Avocats de Paris has approximately 18,000 members, who are avocats (advocates or barristers) in Paris. The website provides press releases, Le Bulletin du Barreau de Paris (back to January 2001), statistics and information on the role, regulation and history of the profession. An online directory (annuaire) of members can be searched by name, address, district, legal speciality, language spoken etc.
