Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce

Website of the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce (SCC Institute), an organisation established in 1917 to provide a neutral centre for the resolution of international trade disputes. The site offers an overview of the Institute's work and full details of its arbitration procedure, model clauses and rules, including rules for expedited arbitrations, insurance arbitration rules, rules of the Mediation Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce and SCC procedures and services under the UNCITRAL arbitration rules.

Singapore International Arbitration Centre

Website of the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC), a non-profit organisation established in 1991. Gives an overview of SIAC's services, procedures and charges. It also provides profiles of selected SIAC cases, statistics, SIAC's arbitration rules and model arbitration clauses. There is also a guide to the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules, together with various IBA arbitration guides. The Singapore Arbitrator newsletter is available free, from September 2004 onwards, and there is an online bookshop.

Cepani

Website of Cepani, the Belgian Center for Arbitration and Mediation, originally founded by the International Chamber of Commerce and the Federation of Belgian Companies. The site provides organisational information relating to the Center along with details of activities and study groups. There are sections covering Cepani's work in arbitration, mediation and domain name disputes including procedural information, Cepani's rules and relevant sections of the Belgian Judicial Code. Decisions of domain name disputes Cepani has been involved with can be downloaded from the site.

World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA)

The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) "promotes and coordinates at institutional level the fight against doping in sport in all forms". WADA was established under the terms of the Lausanne Declaration on Doping in Sport which followed from the first World Conference on Doping in Sport in Lausanne, Switzerland, on February 2-4, 1999. WADA monitors compliance with the worldwide standrad for anti-doping regulation - the World Anti-Doping Code. The website contains material on the development, acceptance and implementation of the world anti-doping code.

Judicial Officers Association of South Africa

Website of the Judicial Officers Association of South Africa (JOASA) the organisation representing members of the judiciary in South Africa. The site provides outline information on the organisation including contact details for officials and copies of reports produced by the various JOASA committees. Full text copies of JOASAãs journal and newsletters are made freely available on the site in HTML. Links to South African courts and sites providing online legislation are also given.

Judiciary of Malta

Website of the Judiciary of Malta providing information about the work of judges, magistrates and the Maltese courts. Information on judicial assistants and jurors is also given. A selection of articles detailing the history and development of the Maltese judicial system can be viewed in PDF. There is information on the court system providing details of the functions of the Inferior and Superior courts including the Constitutional Court, Court of Appeal, Civil Court, Criminal Court and the courts in Gozo.

Lawyers Defence Group

Website of the Lawyers Defence Group, an organisation providing advice and guidance for legal professionals on regulatory, conduct, practice, partnership and employment issues. The service is run by Richard Nelson Solicitors and Murdochs Solicitors. The site has information outlining the role of the various regulators including the Solicitors Regulation Authority, the Bar Standards Board and the Council for Licensed Conveyancers.

Canadian IT Law Association

Website of the Canadian IT Law Association (IT.Can), a professional organisation for Canadian information technology lawyers. IT.Can promotes the development and discussion of IT law through annual conferences, other events and production of a bi-monthly newsletter. Information on past and future conferences and training events and PDF copies of the newsletter are available on the site. Details are given of IT.Can committees dealing with privacy, e-commerce and outsourcing. There are documents and links relevant to outsourcing law and practice negotiations.

National Judicial College of Australia

Website of the National Judicial College of Australia, the organisation that provides training and professional development for judicial officers in Australia. The site has details of Council members and other officials and details of courses offered by the College. There is information on past and future conferences held by the College and full text conference papers are available to download. Recent topics covered include judicial reasoning, the Australian justice system in 2020 and communication in the courtroom.

Asia Pacific Judicial Forum

The Asia Pacific Judicial Reform Forum (APJRF) is a network of superior courts and justice sector agencies seeking judicial reform in the region. Its website provides details of meetings, workshops, projects and other events. Currently the APJRF is developing a Judicial Reform Handbook; draft chapters of the handbook are available on the site. A discussion forum and list of member courts and organisations, with links to websites where available, are also provided.
