National People's Assembly Republic of Algeria

This is the official website of the parliament of Algeria. It provides information on the structure, function and current activities of the house. There is also historical information and the Deputies can be viewed alphabetically, by constituency, party and committee. The Constitution and other laws relating to the National Assembly can be viewed in full text. Also included are the full results of and information about recent elections. English, French and Arabic versions of the information are available, although at present the Arabic sections are more detailed.

Native American Constitution and Law Digitization Project

An online archive providing access to the texts of constitutions, tribal codes and other legal materials relating to Native American Indians. The tribal codes and constitutions form the basis of self-government and sovereignty for native American tribes in the United States. Other documents on the site include Cohen's Handbook (in PDF format), Constitutions and Charters from the Tribes and Nations (HTML format),Treaty texts, Indian Land Titles materials and information on the development of tribal courts in Alaska.

Constitution of Sweden

English-language versions of the fundamental constitutional laws of Sweden, as presented on the website of the Riksdag, the Swedish Parliament. The constitutional documents presented are the Instrument of Government, the Act of Succession, the Freedom of the Press Act, Fundamental Law on Freedom of Expression, and the Riksdag Act. The process of amending the fundamental laws of Sweden is also outlined.

ECOLEX

ECOLEX is an environmental law information service operated by the UN Environment Programme (UNEP), the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the World Conservation Union (IUCN). It is partly funded by the Dutch government. The website provides a searchable database which combines the environmental law information held by all three bodies. This comprises multilateral treaties; national legislation; European Union instruments; international "soft law" and related documents; bibliographic details of law and policy literature; and judicial decisions.

Délégation générale à la langue française et aux langues de France

This site from the French Ministry of Culture includes a variety of texts concerning the legal basis of the French language. In particular 'Le français et le droit' includes the text of law no. 94-665 of 4 August 1994 recognising the special character and status of the French language in France. The site also publishes a legal history of the French language, and details of the position in France of regional and foreign languages. Another document on the site concerns the duties of public bodies to promote French.

United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child

Online version of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child 1989, on the website of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR). This web page also contains links to the Committee on the Rights of the Child (CRC) and information on the status of ratifications, declarations and reservations. The Convention can be viewed in English, French, Chinese, Russian and Spanish.

Journal de Monaco

Online version of the official bulletin of Monaco made freely available on the Principality's official government Website. The journal is published weekly and contains the text of legislative materials including laws, ordinances, decrees and legal announcements. The site presents the journal from April 1998 onwards to date offering a facility to browse issues by date, subject topic or by type of document or legal instrument. A search form for free-text keyword queries is also provided.

Corporate and Insolvency Law Policy Directorate

Web page describing the law reform initiatives of Canada's Corporate and Insolvency Law Policy Directorate (CILPD), which is responsible for reviewing Canada's business and insolvency laws, regulations and policies. The CILPD forms part of the Marketplace Framework Policy Branch of Industry Canada. The site publishes a number of consultation documents, questionnaires and background research documents on subjects such as bankruptcy and insolvency law, corporate not-for-profit law and Canada's law on cooperatives. A list of the legislation currently under review is published.

Maine State Legislature. Office of the Revisor of Statutes

The Office of the Revisor of Statutes of Maine State Legislature is responsible for the drafting and editing of legislation for the state of Maine in the United States. The Revisor's Office also maintains a database of statutes, and publishes the statutes online.
