JADE (Judgments and Decisions Enhanced) is a free service produced by a group of Sydney barristers. It provides a searchable and browseable collection of Australian court and tribunal decisions and aims for comprehensive coverage of new cases. There is also a case citator called ‘CaseTrace’. Cases can be bookmarked and annotated, and RSS or email alerts are available for new cases.
Free database of cases, constitutions and international legal instruments concerning the law of health and human rights around the world, provided by Lawyers Collective, an Indian NGO, and the O’Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law at Georgetown University, Washington DC. Simple and advanced search facilities are available, or the database can be browsed by criteria such as health topic, human right or country. The cases are from municipal and international courts, as well as UN committees.
Large free collection of African law materials, including constitutions, legislation, treaties, court decisions, journal articles and some books, together with a news service and networking opportunities. Registration is required, but there is no charge. The Library can be browsed by country, organisation, or journal title, and there are simple and advanced search facilities. For each country, there is a brief description of the legal system, a list of intergovernmental organisations in which it participates and other information.
The Special Immigration Appeals Commission deals with appeals against deportation for national security or other public interest reasons. The Commission’s decisions are available on its website, together with a cause list and procedural rules.
The Immigration and Asylum Chamber of the UK’s Upper Tribunal is a superior court of record which hears appeals from the First-tier Tribunal. Its website makes available the Chamber’s determinations (decisions) and the decisions of its predecessor, the Asylum and Immigration Tribunal. It also provides relevant legislation, procedural guidance and daily court lists.
Collection of ‘guiding cases’ decided by the Supreme People’s Court of China, translated into English and made available by the China Guiding Cases Project (CGCP) at Stanford Law School in the US. Guiding cases are decisions that have been designated as leading cases, under a procedure introduced in 2010. The website also includes expert commentary on the cases. The Law Summaries page has outlines of the Chinese law of contract, intellectual property, labour and the environment/natural resources with links to translated laws on these subjects. The website is in English and Chinese.
This website provides English translations of the rulings (‘Interpretations’) of the constitutional court, the Council of Grand Justices of the Republic of China / Taiwan. Interpretations are available from 1949 onwards; they are provided by the Taiwanese judicial authority, or Judicial Yuan. The website also has a database of translated laws from about 1990 onwards.
The Upper Tribunal (Tax and Chancery Chamber) helps those who are involved in or want to appeal against decisions made by the First-tier tribunal in tax or Charity cases, as well as people who want to refer matters relating to certain decisions made by the Financial Services Authority and the Pensions Regulator. This section of the Justice website includes forms and guidance, available in PDF, links to procedural rules and a link to the Tribunals Judiciary website, where Tax and Chancery (Upper Tribunal) decisions are available to search from April 2003 onwards.

The legislation section comprises the Monaco Constitution; the Civil Code, Penal Code, Commercial Code and other codes; it also has individual laws from 1920 onwards. Draft laws and recently passed laws are provided under the heading “Actualité législative”.
Portal providing open access to primary and secondary legal materials for Ethiopia, including laws, court decisions, articles, contact guidance and news. The service gives free access to selected codes and laws, some in English, some in Amharic. It also provides decisions of the Supreme Court of Cassation, in Amharic only, and the Constitution (and related instruments) in English and Amharic.
