Sindh High Court

Website of the High Court for the province of Sindh, Pakistan. Provides a database of more than 25,000 judgments and orders. Also makes available cause lists, an explanation of the Court’s jurisdiction and lists of judges. The site also has a set of links to Pakistani law websites.

African Legal Information Institute

The African Legal Information Institute (AfricanLII) makes available treaties, cases, resolutions, decisions, reports and other publications of African regional organisations. It also provides access to legislation and cases from 16 African countries, via its search facility. The home page has links to regional and national African websites. AfricanLII is a project of the Democratic Governance and Rights Unit (DGRU) at the University of Cape Town law faculty.

United Kingdom Supreme Court

A BAILII database, providing all decisions of the UK Supreme Court from October 2009 (when it replaced the Appellate Committee of the House of Lords as the UK's highest court) onwards. The British and Irish Legal Information Institute (BAILII) is a collaborative service aiming to deliver free access to primary legal materials for the UK and of Ireland.

Judicial Decisions Online

Searchable database of decisions from the higher courts of New Zealand, provided by the New Zealand Ministry of Justice. Includes all Supreme Court of New Zealand judgments (from 2004, when the first case was heard, onwards), Court of Appeal judgments from 2003 onwards and High Court judgments from 2005 onwards, all in pdf format

JADE

JADE (Judgments and Decisions Enhanced) is a free service produced by a group of Sydney barristers. It provides a searchable and browseable collection of Australian court and tribunal decisions and aims for comprehensive coverage of new cases. There is also a case citator called ‘CaseTrace’. Cases can be bookmarked and annotated, and RSS or email alerts are available for new cases.

Global Health and Human Rights Database

Free database of cases, constitutions and international legal instruments concerning the law of health and human rights around the world, provided by Lawyers Collective, an Indian NGO, and the O’Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law at Georgetown University, Washington DC. Simple and advanced search facilities are available, or the database can be browsed by criteria such as health topic, human right or country. The cases are from municipal and international courts, as well as UN committees.

African Online Library on Law and Governance

Large free collection of African law materials, including constitutions, legislation, treaties, court decisions, journal articles and some books, together with a news service and networking opportunities. Registration is required, but there is no charge. The Library can be browsed by country, organisation, or journal title, and there are simple and advanced search facilities. For each country, there is a brief description of the legal system, a list of intergovernmental organisations in which it participates and other information.
