House of Commons Background Papers

Collection of detailed briefing papers on UK parliamentary practice and procedure, produced by the Parliament and Constitution Centre at the House of Commons Library and published on the UK Parliament website. Includes briefings on public bills, private bills, hybrid bills, statutory instruments, the European Union (terminology, procedures and sources) and a timeline of UK constitutional developments from 1911 onwards.

American Bankruptcy Institute

The American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI) is a membership organsiation for bankruptcy specialists in the United States. Its activities include the provision of education and research programmes, organising conferences and producing publications. The website provides educational material, bankruptcy news, details of conferences and other information. Contents lists from the ABI Journal are available, with full access restricted to members.

Durham European Law Institute

The Durham European Law Institute (DELI), at the University of Durham's Department of Law, focuses on subjects such as European constitutional law, the EU internal market, EU external relations law and fundamental rights. Its website gives details of DELI courses, lectures and conferences, its fellows and their research.

Institute of Criminology and Criminal Justice

Web pages of the Institute of Criminology and Criminal Justice, based in the School of Law at Queen's University Belfast. The Institute was founded in 1994 and its aim is to carry out research and postgraduate teaching in the fields of criminology and criminal justice. International Institute of Air and Space Law

Website of the International Institute of Air and Space Law at Leiden University in the Netherlands. The institute's work includes teaching at graduate and post-graduate level, conducting research and providing advice and information to governments, international organisations and airlines. Its website includes information about the work of the Institute, the Hague Space Resources Governance Working Group and the International Air Law Moot Court.

Public Justice

Washington DC-based non-profit law firm, founded in 1982 and formerly known as Trial Lawyers for Public Justice. Public Justice brings cases to counter abuses of corporate power, the undermining of civil rights/civil liberties and threats to the environment. Its website has details of its work, including a list of cases, with legal briefs and opinions (judgments) attached. A podcast and a blog are available and there is a sign-up form for the Public Justice newsletter.

Free online directory of Canadian law firms, lawyers, judges and government departments, published by Key Media. Consisting of profiles and contact details, it is searchable by personal name, law firm, region, practice area and government department.
