Official Algerian website, which aims to publish the Constitution and the Journal Officiel (official journal) of Algeria. The site has a profile of the Secretary General and background on the stucture and functions of the General Secretariat. The Journal Officiel is available in PDF format for recent years, and users can choose the month and date they wish to display. A copy of the Constitution and other legislation are also made available on the site along with a page of links to related Algerian government sites.

Rights of Women: empowering women to access their legal rights

Rights of Women (ROW), founded in 1975, is a charity providing legal advice and information for women and carrying out policy work and training in related areas. The website gives details of its advice lines and provides factsheets on topics including divorce, domestic violence, parental responsibility, civil partnerships, immigration and asylum and child support. It also includes policy publications and details of training and other events.

U.S. Courts : The Federal Judiciary

Official website of the U.S. Courts which is maintained by the Administrative Office of the Federal Judiciary. The site explains the role of the Federal Courts as "guardians of the Constitution" and provides background information to the Supreme Court, Courts of Appeals, District Courts and the Bankruptcy Courts. There are links to all the courts which are arranged by circuit. Documents are provided in PDF format giving details of courts fees and statistics covering the judicial work of the various courts.

Joint Money Laundering Steering Group

Website of the Joint Money Laundering Steering Group (JMLSG), which is hosted by the British Bankers' Association. Membership of the JMLSG is drawn from associations working within the financial services industry and its stated aim is to "promulgate good practice in countering money laundering and to give practical assistance in interpreting the UK Money Laundering Regulations". The organisation produces guidance notes to help the financial sector interpret money laundering legislation and regulations.

Law Society of Scotland Directory of Expert Witnesses

The Directory of Expert Witnesses is an annual publication published jointly by the Law Society of Scotland and W.Green. The directory contains details of expert witnesses based in Scotland or experts based elsewhere in the United Kingdom who cover Scotland. The directory can be freely searched online by name or keyword. There is also a more detailed 'structured search' option which allows you to specify an area of expertise which can be refined to a more specific subject area and then narrowed further by experience, occupation and location.

Indigenous Law Bulletin

Website of the Indigenous Law Bulletin (ILB) a refereed journal which appears eight times a year and is published by the Indigenous Law Centre at the University of New South Wales in Australia. The journal which started in 1981 provides "up-to-date information, discussion and analysis of issues that relate to Indigenous peoples and the law." Subjects covered by the journal include human rights, intellectual property, sovereignty, native title, land rights and discrimination.

MootingNet

MootingNet is an online guide to mooting aimed at law students. It is hosted by Firstlight, a specialist internet information company. The website provides background information on mooting, speech writing, court etiquette, delivering a speech and responding to questions. There is a list of contacts for Mooting Officers at UK universities, organisers of mooting competitions around the country and previous competition winners.

Native Title Research Unit

The Native Title Research Unit (NTRU) forms part of the Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies in Canberra, Australia. The Unit provides a research service for people researching native title (the land rights of indigenous peoples) and an annotated list of native title legal research resources including reports, articles, judgements, bibliographies, courts and other organisations. Details are given of NTRU research projects, conferences, workshops and seminars.

International Wildlife Law Project

Website of the International Wildlife Law Project which was set up by the American Branch of the International Law Association (ABILA) to conserve "endangered wildlife species by helping to strengthen international wildlife treaty regimes, regional accords and national legislation that implements international treaty regimes." This provides summaries of international treaties/conventions and introductory descriptions of ecotourism across the world.

European Union Law: An Integrated Guide to Electronic and Print Research

Online guide to researching European Union (EU) law, written by Marylin J. Raisch, Librarian for International and Foreign Law at the John Wolff International and Comparative Law Library of the Georgetown Law Center. This updated version of the article was published in the features section of LLRX.com in May 2007. The introduction gives an overview of the structure of the EU and the author goes on to cover the treaties of Rome, Maastricht, Amsterdam and Nice and the constitutional treaty.
