England and Wales High Court (Admiralty Division) Decisions

A BAILII database containing decisions of the Admiralty Division of the High Court of England and Wales. The database contains decisions from 2001 onwards to date made available to the Court Service and public. Cases are listed alphabetically by party name and chronologically by year. The system also offers a comprehensive search facility and Recent Cases listing. The British and Irish Legal Information Institute (BAILII) is a collaborative service providing free access to primary legal materials for the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland.

United Kingdom Employment Appeal Tribunal

A BAILII database containing Full Hearing judgments of the Employment Appeal Tribunal (EAT) which are transcribed or handed down by the Tribunal. The EAT deals with appeals from the decisions of the Employment Tribunals, the Certification Officer and the Central Arbitration Committee Employment Appeal Tribunal. Its jurisdiction extends to England and Wales and Scotland. The database contains judgments from 1976 to date. Cases are listed alphabetically by party name and chronologically by year. The system also offers a comprehensive search facility and Recent Cases listing.

Residential Institutions Redress Board

Website of the Residential Institutions Redress Board, an Irish statutory body which pays compensation to people who were abused as children in industrial schools, reformatories and other institutions subject to state regulation or inspection. The site has information about applying for redress, including forms and details of hearing procedures. A PDF copy of the Residential Institutions Redress Act, 2002 and relevant regulations is provided.

Tasmania Law Reform Institute

The Tasmania Law Reform Institute is based at the University of Tasmania undertaking "law reform work and research on topics proposed by the Government, the community, the University and the Institute itself." The website has information about the establishment of the Law Reform Institute and an overview of the history of law reform in Tasmania. There is also information about work currently in progress at the Institute. Reports of completed projects are made available on the site in PDF format.

Law journals: submissions and ranking

Online database providing information on more than 1500 legal journals. The database is compiled by John Doyle of the Law Library at the Washington and Lee University, School of Law in the United States. The journals can be organised by country and subject such as administrative law, banking law, constitutional law, family law, economics and the law, insurance law, human rights and legal history. Journals can be ranked by other criteria such as whether the journal is peer reviewed or student edited and whether it is available online or in printed versions.

New South Wales Land and Environment Court

The New South Wales Land and Environment Court (LEC) is a specialist court dealing with environmental, development, building and planning disputes. There is information about the court including a list of judges and commissioners and a selection of information sheets which can be downloaded in Word or HTML. The site includes information about the LEC's jurisdiction and provides links to full-text laws that grant the Court jurisdiction.

Queensland Law Society

Website of the Queensland Law Society (QLS) the organisation representing solicitors in Queensland, Australia. The site has information for QLS members, the general public, the media and students. There is background information about the QLS including its history, structure and a copy of their latest annual report made available in PDF format. The site has advice on making a complaint against a solicitor, press releases, a link to the QLS rules and organisational information.

Family Law Council

Website of the Australian Family Law Council, a statutory body set up to advise the Attorney-General. The site provides information about the work of Council and makes available its reports, discussion papers, Letters of Advice to the Attorney General and other publications.

Family Court of Australia

Official website of the Family Court of Australia who describe their purpose as "facilitating the resolution of disputes arising from family separation". The site has information about the court including administrative details such as court lists, fees, downloadable forms and case management directions. There is advice aimed at the general public dealing with issues such as divorce, separation, children, property and money matters and a selection of online brochures dealing with mediation services, parental responsibility and maintenance procedure.

First Amendment Library

The First Amendment Library forms part of the website of the First Amendment Center an organisation affiliated to the Freedom Forum and based at the Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee and Arlington, Virginia in the United States. The Library provides access to information relating to the five freedoms of the First Amendment -speech, press, assembly, petition and religion. The database is arranged by category including freedom of expression, freedom of religion and the Freedom of Information Act.
