Constitution of Syria

This site contains the full-text of the Syria Constitution which is made freely available in English by International Constitutional Law (ICL) at the University of Bern in Switzerland. The Constitution was adopted in 1973 and this version does not include any subsequent amendments. The document covers political principles, economic principles, educational and cultural principles, freedoms, rights and duties. The Constitution was adopted in 1991 and includes amendments up to 2006. The document covers human rights and fundamental freedoms, economic and social relations, administration of the state, local government, public finance, constitutionality and legality and the Constitutional Court.

Constitution of South Africa

Full-text online version of the South African Constitution made freely available in English on the South African Government Information website. The Constitution was adopted in 1996 and covers co-operative government, parliament, the President and National Executive, the provinces, local government, the courts and administration of justice, public administration, security services and a Bill of Rights. The site includes amendments to the Constitution and links to earlier versions of the Constitution.

Constitution of Paraguay

The Paraguay Constitution in English, provided by the International Constitutional Law (ICL) project at the University of Bern in Switzerland. The Constitution was adopted in 1992 (replacing the 1967 Constitution). The first section deals with basic principles including freedom, equality, family rights, the Indian peoples, education and labour. The second section deals with the political organisation of the Republic and covers nationality, citizenship, international relations, state economic policy and the basis of legislative, executive and judicial power.

Constitution of Russia

This site contains the full-text of the new Russian Constitution which is made freely available in English by International Constitutional Law (ICL) at the University of Bern in Switzerland. This Constitution was adopted by referendum in 1993 and replaces the 1977 Constitution of the USSR which can also be viewed on the site. The document covers the fundamentals of the constitutional system, rights and liberties of man and citizen, the Russian Federation, the President, the Federal Assembly, the judiciary and local government. Brief background and historical notes are also included.

This site contains the full-text of the Saudi Arabia Constitution which is made freely available in English by International Constitutional Law (ICL) at the University of Bern in Switzerland. The Constitution was adopted in 1993 and covers the monarchy, features of the Saudi family, economic principles, rights and duties, the authorities of the state, financial affairs and control bodies. The Constitution was adopted in 1963 and the ICL version includes amendments up to 1995.The site also includes the Constitution schedules, a link to the Singapore Government website and explanatory notes to the Constitution.

UK Social Security and Child Support Commissioner's Opinions

A BAILII database, providing free access to the full-text of selected opinions of the Social Security and Child Support Commissioners in the United Kingdom. The database carries opinions from 1997 to 2008 as supplied by the Social Security and Child Commission. Decisions are listed alphabetically by Commissioner's File number. The system also offers a comprehensive search facility and Recent Cases listing. BAILII is a collaborative service aiming to provide public access to primary legal materials for the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland.

United Kingdom Asylum and Immigration Tribunal decisions

A BAILII database containing reported and starred decisions from the UK Immigration Appeal Tribunal (UKIAT). Cases are anonymised and made available from 2000 onwards including a selection of earlier decisions. The system also offers a comprehensive search facility. The index page contains an explanation of the UKIAT's reporting and publishing practice. BAILII is a collaborative service aiming to provide public access to primary legal materials for the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland.

This site contains the full-text of the Lebanon Constitution which is made freely available in English by International Constitutional Law (ICL) at the University of Bern in Switzerland. The Constitution was adopted in 1926 and this version includes the amendments made in 1990. The Constitution has chapters dealing with the state and its territories, the rights and duties of the citizen, legislative power, executive power, the Prime Minister, the Council of Ministers, the Supreme Council and finances.
