Manitoba Bar Association

Website of the Manitoba Bar Association, a branch of the Canadian Bar Association representing the legal profession in the Canadian province of Manitoba. The site gives contact details for Executive Committee and Council members along with details of branch sections and information about conferences and other events. Copies of the Association's annual reports are made available as PDF documents and there are links provided to other Manitoba legal resources. Parts of the website are made available to members only.

Website of the British Columbia branch of the Canadian Bar Association (CBABC) an organisation representing the legal profession in the province of British Columbia in Canada. The site has profiles of branch officers, details of events and a selection of press releases. There are links to other Canadian legal resources including law schools and blogs. Parts of the site are accessible to members only.

Scottish Law Commission Reports

A BAILII database carrying reports published by the Scottish Law Commission. Reports are available from 1989 onwards and are presented in HTML format. The reports are listed alphabetically by title and chronologically by year. Recent topics covered include damages for wrongful death, personal injury actions and crown appeals. BAILII is a free, collaborative service aiming to provide public access to primary legal materials for the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland. The service has been developed through cooperation between AustLII and parties in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Scottish Law Commission Discussion Papers

A BAILII database providing access to discussion papers published by the Scottish Law Commission. The service carries papers in HTML format from 1993 onwards. Papers are listed alphabetically by title and chronologically by year. Recent topics covered include double jeopardy, unincorporated associations abd crown appeals. BAILII is a free collaborative service offering public access to primary legal materials for the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland. BAILII has been developed through cooperation between AustLII and parties in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Justice is a law reform and human rights organisation based in the United Kingdom. Through independent research, briefings and interventions, the group seek to develop the law, influence public policy, and promote human rights standards in the civil, criminal and administrative justice systems in the UK. Its work covers human rights, discrimination, asylum, privacy and socio-economic rights. The website gives details of current and past areas of work and provides briefings, reports and other information. 

Constitution of Syria

This site contains the full-text of the Syria Constitution which is made freely available in English by International Constitutional Law (ICL) at the University of Bern in Switzerland. The Constitution was adopted in 1973 and this version does not include any subsequent amendments. The document covers political principles, economic principles, educational and cultural principles, freedoms, rights and duties. It also includes the basis of legislative, executive and judicial power. The site has related links and background notes to the Constitution.

Constitution of Slovenia

This site contains the full-text of the Slovenia Constitution which is made freely available in English by International Constitutional Law (ICL) at the University of Bern in Switzerland. The Constitution was adopted in 1991 and includes amendments up to 2006. The document covers human rights and fundamental freedoms, economic and social relations, administration of the state, local government, public finance, constitutionality and legality and the Constitutional Court.

Constitution of South Africa

Full-text online version of the South African Constitution made freely available in English on the South African Government Information website. The Constitution was adopted in 1996 and covers co-operative government, parliament, the President and National Executive, the provinces, local government, the courts and administration of justice, public administration, security services and a Bill of Rights. The site includes amendments to the Constitution and links to earlier versions of the Constitution.

Constitution of Paraguay

The Paraguay Constitution in English, provided by the International Constitutional Law (ICL) project at the University of Bern in Switzerland. The Constitution was adopted in 1992 (replacing the 1967 Constitution). The first section deals with basic principles including freedom, equality, family rights, the Indian peoples, education and labour. The second section deals with the political organisation of the Republic and covers nationality, citizenship, international relations, state economic policy and the basis of legislative, executive and judicial power.
