Website of the Intellectual Property Research Institute of Australia (IPRIA) which is based at the University of Melbourne and run by the Faculty of Law, the Faculty of Economics and Commerce and the Melbourne Business School. IPRIA was established to "increase the understanding, creation, use and exploitation of intellectual property by Australian organisations and individuals". The site provides information about courses and research work being undertaken at the Institute. Research work at IPRIA includes enforcement of IP, use of IP by businesses and other entities, IP's role in facilitating innovation and knowledge transfer, international IP protection and efficiency of the IP system. IPRIA publications are freely available in PDF on the site including working papers, reports and a newsletter. Summaries of new developments in IP law in Australia and international developments in intellectual property law also appear on the site.
