Constitution of Brazil

This site contains the full-text of the Constitution of Brazil which is made freely available in English by International Constitutional Law (ICL) at the University of Bern in Switzerland. The Constitution was adopted in 1988 and this version includes various revisions and amendments. The Constitution covers state principles, powers and objectives, fundamental rights and guarantees, organisation of the state, taxation, finance and social order. The site includes other constitutional documents and provides notes on the history and reform of the Constitution.

Chicago Journal of International Law

The Chicago Journal of International Law (CJIL) is published twice yearly by the University of Chicago Law School. It is an interdisciplinary publication covering international law and policy. Contents pages for every issue of the journal are available on the CJIL website and abstracts are provided for most of the earlier articles, but the full text is only available with a Westlaw subscription. The website also gives details of the CJIL Management Board and staff members.

Center for Comparative Constitutionalism

The Center for Comparative Constitutionalism (CCC) at the University of Chicago is concerned with the study of constitutional rights and "the wide range of ways in which societies attempt to secure constitutional rights to their citizens." The CCC's website gives details of the Center's projects and events including study papers which can be downloaded in PDF format and lectures which can be heard in RealOne Player or Quicktime Player (both of which can be freely downloaded on the site).

Centre for Constitutional Studies

Website of the Centre for Constitutional Studies at the University of Alberta in Canada. The Centre is concerned with the "interdisciplinary study of constitutional matters both nationally and internationally". The website has details of staff and of the Centre's research projects and publications, including the Constitutional Forum and the Review of Constitutional Studies. There is a collection of links to constitutional law resources and a Constitutional Keywords database which is made freely available on the site.

Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator

Website of the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR), an independent registrar and regulator responsible for the regulation of charities in Scotland, and part of the Scottish Administration. . The Scottish Charity Register can be searched by charity name, number or address. A framework document provides further information on the OSCR 's status, management and financial arrangements and this can be viewed in PDF on the site. There is also a selection of FAQs and a page of relevant Web links.

London Solicitors Litigation Association

Website of the London Solicitors Litigation Association (LSLA) an organisation formed in 1952 to represent solicitors practising civil litigation in central London. The website has information about the LSLA including the constitution, profiles of officers and details of forthcoming events. Copies of the Association's newsletter, Resolve and LSLA responses to consultation exercises are made freely available in full-text. There is also a page of related links.

Secretaría de Medio Ambiente y Recursos Naturales

Website of the Mexican Secretaría de Medio Ambiente y Recursos Naturales (SEMARNAT), a government agency with responsibility for environmental protection. Most of the site is in Spanish, but English translations of a number of key documents and some background information are provided. Documents include the General Law of Ecological Balance and Environmental Protection and a summary of the Environmental Justice Administration Program 2001-2006. The section from the Criminal Code dealing with Environmental Crimes is also included on the site.

Constitution of Australia

This site contains the full-text of the Australian Constitution, which came into effect in 1901, along with background notes and related constitutional documents. The Constitution is made freely available in English by International Constitutional Law (ICL) at the University of Bern in Switzerland. The site also has historical and political information relating to Australia. Other documents provided include the Commonwealth of Australia Constitution Act 1900, the Statute of Westminster 1931, the Statute of Westminster Adoption Act 1942 and the Australia Act 1985.

Road Law

The Road Law website is produced by Martin Davies, a former solicitor, and forms part of his Law on the Web gateway to legal information. The site is aimed at drivers and provides advice on motoring law and road traffic offences. There are sections on motor accidents, mobile phones, seat belts, endorsements, a survey of insurance premiums for drivers with penalty points on their licence and information relating to different driving offences including drink driving, speeding and failing to stop after an accident.
