Copyright Licensing Agency

The Copyright Licensing Agency (CLA) is a non-profit making company formed in 1982 by the Authors' Licensing and Collecting Society and the Publishers' Licensing Society to protect the interests of rights owners. The CLA issues licences for organisations wishing to make copies from books and journals and passes the money on to the rights owners. The site has background information on copyright issues, getting clearance and guidance for education, business, government and other public bodies that need to obtain licences.

National Agricultural Law Center

The National Agricultural Law Center is based at the University of Arkansas School of Law in the United States. The Center conducts legal research, provides information facilities and publishes articles by leading agricultural law scholars. The site has a selection of 'Reading Rooms' which are resource guides to a range of agricultural law topics. Subjects covered include bankruptcy, cooperatives, federal crop insurance, farm credit and the Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act.

American Agricultural Law Association

Website of the American Agricultural Law Association (AALA)which describes itself as "the only national professional organization focusing on the legal needs of the agricultural community." The site has organisational information, details of conferences and events and a selection of resource links to other agricultural law websites. A link is given to an online bibliography compiled by the AALA and hosted on the National Center for Agricultural Law at the University of Arkansas School of Law website.

Energy law: an overview

An online guide to US energy law produced by the Legal Information Institute of Cornell University and provided as part of the Wex online legal encyclopedia. The guide provides a summary of the law and links to key primary source material and other internet resources. There are links to federal and state statutes and case law dealing with energy. The federal material is broken down to include nuclear energy, natural gas, oil, alternative sources and energy conservation. Key internet sources include Federal agencies, Congressional Committees and relevant international bodies.

International Privacy Law Library

This WorldLII project aims to make searchable from one location all of the databases specialising in Privacy and freedom of information (FOI) law available on WorldLII. Databases currently included are taken from CanLII (the Canadian Legal Information Institute), AustLII (the Australasian Legal Information Institute) and BAILII (the British and Irish Legal Information Institute). Material is also included from the Electronic Privacy Information Center (EPIC).

Humanitarian Law Center

The Humanitarian Law Center (HLC) is a non-governmental human rights and humanitarian law centre established in 1992 following the conflict in former Yugoslavia. It is based in Serbia. The HLC's work includes researching human rights violations, campaigning for justice and institutional reform and gathering documentation on war crimes. The website provides court documentation, reports, press releases and other information. Details of conferences and courses organised by the HLC are also available. The site is in Serbian, English and Albanian

Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions

Website of the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) in Australia whose primary role is to prosecute offences against Commonwealth law. The site explains the role and the organisation of the DPP and provides a copy of the Corporate Plan. Annual reports back to 1998/99 are available online along with the Prosecution Policy of the Commonwealth, the Statement on Disclosure and links to relevant legislation. The site also includes profiles of current and past Directors.

Farrer-Briefings

The briefings are expert commentory on a variety of current affairs and cases concerning all sectors in which the host firm (Farrer & Co) are involed. Going back to 2007, these briefings can be filtered by date, theme and intended audience.

Victorian Bar

Website of the Victorian Bar a professional association representing barristers practising in Victoria, Australia. The site has information about the Bar including a copy of the constitution, practice rules and regulations, annual reports and details of the Bar's Alternative Dispute Resolution scheme. An online membership directory provides contact details of barristers and chambers. Full text copies of the Bar newsletter, In Brief, are made freely available online in PDF format containing articles, book reviews and news from the Bar.

High Court of Justice in Northern Ireland Family Division Decisions

A BAILII database containing decisions of the Northern Ireland High Court of Justice, Family Division. The database contains all decisions from 2000 onwards to date. Cases are listed alphabetically by party name and chronologically by year. The system also offers a comprehensive search facility and Recent Cases listing. The British and Irish Legal Information Institute (BAILII) is a collaborative service providing free access to primary legal materials for the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland.
