Constitution of Bahrain

This site contains the full-text of the 2002 Bahrain Constitution which is made freely available in English by International Constitutional Law (ICL) at the University of Bern in Switzerland. The document has sections on the state, fundamental constituents of society, public rights and duties and the system of government which covers the Amir, legislative power, executive power and judicial power. There is a link to the Bahrain government website and background notes to the history and Constitution of Bahrain.

United States Reports

This part of the United States Supreme Court website provides access to PDF copies of the Supreme Court's bound volumes of opinions. These are the final versions of Supreme Court opinions and are only made available online once the printed versions have been published. Currently available online are U.S. Reports from the October 1991 term through to the October 2005 term. Opinions are made available in full along with related materials such as orders, Federal Rules of Procedure, details of Justices and Court officers, indexes and statistical information.

Constitution of Armenia

This site contains the full-text of the Constitution adopted in 1995 by the Republic of Armenia which is made freely available in English by International Constitutional Law (ICL) at the University of Bern in Switzerland. The document covers human and civil rights and freedoms, the role and function of the President, the National Assembly, the Government, judiciary and local government. The site provides brief historical and background information to the Constitution along with other legal materials. There is also a link to the website of the Constitutional Court.

Constitution of Argentina

This site contains the Constitution of Argentina in English, provided by the International Constitutional Law (ICL) project at the University of Bern in Switzerland. This edition of the Constitution incorporates all amendments made up to 1994 and covers the role and functions of the legislature, the executive, the judiciary and the provincial governments. The site also provides historical and background information to the Constitution.

Constitution of Albania

This site contains the full-text of the 1998 Constitution of the Republic of Albania. This site is made freely available in English by International Constitutional Law (ICL) at the University of Bern in Switzerland. The Constitution deals with the role and functions of the People's Assembly, the President and the Council of Ministers. The site also provides historical and background information to the Constitution and the drafting process of the 1998 Constitution.

Constitution of Afghanistan

This site contains the full-text of the 2004 Afghanistan Constitution which is made freely available in English by International Constitutional Law (ICL) at the University of Bern in Switzerland. This ICL edition is an unofficial version of the Constitution which was adopted by the Loya Jirga (Grand Council) on 3 Jan 2004. The Constitution describes the powers of the state, the rights and duties of the citizens and the role and functions of the President, the National Assembly, the Loya Jirga and the Government.

Web Guide to U.S. Supreme Court Research

Online resource guide to U.S. Supreme Court research written by Gail Partin who is Associate Law Librarian in the Sheely-Lee Law Library at Penn State's Dickinson School of Law in the United States. The guide was published in 2003 on LLRX.com (Law Library Resource Xchange) a free web journal for legal information professionals. Annotated links are provided to the most reliable official and unofficial Supreme Court websites. The guide includes links to opinions, case summaries, briefs and oral arguments.

Coram Children's Legal Centre

The Coram Children's Legal Centre is a charitable organisation established in 1981 and based at the University of Essex. The Centre deals with law and policy issues affecting children and young people. The site provides information about the work of the Centre which includes legal advice, research and policy and campaign work. Annual indexes from the Centre's monthly journal, Childright appear on the site. There is a selection of FAQs on common legal issues, and links to other organisations providing services for young people.

State of Israel Judicial Authority

Official website of the Supreme Court of Israel, available in Hebrew and English. The site describes the role and function of the courts and the judiciary. A selection Supreme Court judgements is available on the site in PDF format. There is historical background information and guidance on the court system, covering the Supreme Court, District Courts, Magistrates' Courts and Juvenile Courts, along with the various tribunals. There is also information about individual judges.

Ofcom

Ofcom is a UK official body created in December 2003 from five former telecommunications watchdogs and regulatory authorities- the Broadcasting Standards Commission, Independent Television Commission (ITC), Oftel (Office of Telecommunications), Radio Authority and Radiocommunications Agency. Its role is to regulate all aspects of the British telecommunications sector. This includes TV and radio broadcasting, digital media, mobile phones and land based telephones. The website provides information on the role of the body and its current activities.
