Website of the State Bar of Michigan which is the regulatory body for lawyers practising in Michigan in the United States. The site has organisational information about the State Bar, links to Michigan law firms and a member directory. For members there is Bar news and events, information about the various sections and committees, links to Michigan legislation and other Michigan legal resources including government and other websites. Opinions of the Michigan courts are available on the site and can be browsed or search by date and name. Michigan ethics opinions along with other ethics materials including rules, articles and a bibliography of ethics resources are also included. Details are given of various justice initiatives undertaken by SBM including a series of electronic newsletters focused on the issues faced by people with disabilities in a courtroom setting. The Michigan Bar Journal is also available on the site. Parts of the site are restricted to members only.
