Website of the Freedom Forum an organisation providing information about the five freedoms protected by the First Amendment of the US Constitution- the freedoms of religion, speech, press, assembly and petition. There is an explanation of what each freedom means and a glossary of legal terms. A library of articles, focusing on issues related to the freedoms and written by experts, is given on the site. There’s also a selection of stories from the current days newspapers relating to First Amendment freedoms.

The ALA's Legal Management Magazine can be viewed on the site along with a selection of podcasts on related topics. Part of the US congressional website providing all treaty documents submitted to the US Senate from 1975/76 onwards, together with some older treaties. The material can be searched by treaty document number, topic, key word and other criteria. Critical Legal Collective

The Critical Legal Collective (CLC) is a US-based group of scholars and activists focusing on branches of critical legal theory, including Critical Race Theory, Asian American Legal Scholarship, ClassCrits, Critical Legal Studies, Feminist Legal Theory, eCRT (empirical Critical Race Theory), Indigenous Law and Policy, Jurisprudence of Distribution, LatCrit, Law & Political Economy and Third World Approaches to International Law. The website has brief details of CLC projects concerning academic freedom, constitutional law, critical education, and democracy in higher education institutions.

Trans Legislation Tracker

Trans Legislation is an independent research organisation monitoring US state and federal legislation relating to trans and gender-diverse people. Its online tracker provides detailed information about anti-trans bills and monitors their progress; it also covers Presidential executive orders. Full tracking information is available for each year from 2022 onwards, while earlier information (2015 onwards) can be found under ‘The Rise of Anti-Trans Bills’.

State Legislation Tracker

Online tool tracking the progress of both pro- and anti-LGBTQ+ state legislation in the United States. Gives the current status of each bill and offers AI-generated comparisons between versions. Users can register for alerts regarding particular bills. The tracker is provided by the Equality Federation, a non-profit network for state LGBTQ+ advocacy bodies.

LawSites

Legal technology blog by American lawyer and journalist Bob Ambrogi, with guest posts from other writers. Established in 2002, it covers topics such as artificial intelligence, law firm management software, accounting software, technology competence in the legal profession, and legal tech company news. The blog site also includes podcasts and videos covering legal tech news and innovation, together with a directory of legal software by practice area and type.

USMCA Secretariat

Website of the Secretariat established by the United States Mexico Canada Agreement (USMCA) which is an updated version of the North American Free Trade Agreement of January 1 1994 (NAFTA). The Secretariat has sections focusing on the United States, Mexico and Canada. It provides administrative support and administration of the dispute settlement process. The USMCA and NAFTA can both be viewed in full on the site along with the rules of procedure, code of conduct and procedural forms. There are links to related organisations and a selection of FAQs.

Major Pending Election Cases

This database is a project of the Election Law Program at The Ohio State University’s Moritz College of Law, made freely available online in partnership with the SCOTUSblog website. The database provides case summaries, comprehensive court filings and expert commentary about important election law cases from around the United States. The case tracker can be searched by date, name, state, status and topic. Along with the case summaries there are links to associated court documents. It is also possible to view all cases relating to the 2020 presidential election results.
