Costa Rica Law

Established in 1997 by lawyer Roger A. Petersen, this site gives an English-language overview of the law of Costa Rica, with links to legislation (in Spanish). It also covers the economy, politics, demography and other subjects. The information is intended primarily for individuals and businesses with an interest in moving to, or operating in, the country. The Legal Topics section outlines more than twenty subjects, including banking law, civil law, consumer protection, criminal law, immigration, marriage and family law, and working in Costa Rica.

Parliament of Zimbabwe

Official website of the Parliament of Zimbabwe. The site describes the functions, structure and current activities of the parliament and its committees. The Constitution of Zimbabwe is available on the site, together with Hansard (parliamentary debates) from 2004 onwards and lists of current Members of Parliament.

Bermuda Laws Online

A project of the Government of Bermuda and the Attorney General to provide online access to the laws of Bermuda. Two collections of legislation are available: Annual Laws (acts and statutory instruments from 1993 to date) and Consolidated Laws (regularly updated acts and statutory instruments). An amended versin of the Constitution of Bermuda is also provided, together with a selection of UK statutory instruments applicable to Bermuda. A disclaimer warns that "The legislative material on this site does not yet have official sanction."

Guide to Caribbean Law Research

Online guide to researching Caribbean law, by Yemisi Dina, Chief Law Librarian at Osgoode Hall Law Library, York University, Canada. Published on New York University's Globalex website and updated periodically, the guide covers all the dependent and independent Caribbean states. It describes their legal and court systems, sources of legislation and law reports. Key law journals and textbooks are listed, along with online sources. There are also details of legal abbreviations and legal education.

Guide to legal research in Costa Rica

Online guide to legal research in Costa Rica written by Roger A. Petersen, a partner with Petersen & Philps of San Jose, Costa Rica in 2005 (updated in 2025) and published on New York University's Globalex website. The author presents a brief history of Costa Rica and background to the structure of government, the Constitution and the judiciary. There are sections on local government, the National Registry, political parties and elections.

Secrétariat Général du Gouvernement: République Algérienne Démocratique et populaire

Official Algerian website, which aims to publish the Constitution and the Journal Officiel (official journal) of Algeria. The site has a profile of the Secretary General and background on the stucture and functions of the General Secretariat. The Journal Officiel is available in PDF format for recent years, and users can choose the month and date they wish to display. A copy of the Constitution and other legislation are also made available on the site along with a page of links to related Algerian government sites.

Victorian legislation

Legislation website for the Australian state of Victoria, provided by the Office of the Chief Parliamentary Counsel and the Parliament of Victoria. Includes acts and statutory rules in force and as made, as well as bills before Parliament and a separate collection of all bills from 1996 onwards. Repealed and revoked legislation is available from 1996 onwards, with a link to AustLII for older material. The Legislative Information page has news and information dossiers about topics such as commencement and repeal / revocation / expiry of legislation and amendments to legislation.

A.C.T. Legislation Register

The ACT (Australian Capital Territory) Legislation Register is hosted by the Parliamentary Counsel's Office in Canberra, Australia. It provides all ACT acts and subordinate laws (rules and regulations) along with disallowable instruments, approved forms, notifiable instruments and commencement notices. Also included are bills which are currently before the Legislative Assembly. Basic and advanced search facilities are available, together with browseable lists of instruments. This site also gives background information about legislation in the territory.
