An overview of the legal system and legal research in the Republic of South Sudan

Online guide to the law of South Sudan, which became a sovereign nation in 2011, written by Paul Mertenskoetter who is a Juris Doctor candidate at the New York University School of Law and Dong Samuel Luak who is Secretary-General of the South Sudan Law Society. The guide was published in 2012 on the Globalex website and made freely available by the Hauser Global Law School Program at the New York University School of Law. The authors provide background information to South Sudan and an outline of the 2011 transitional Constitution.

Labuan FSA official website

The Labuan Financial Services Authority is a statutory body created under the Labuan Financial Services Act 1996. It is responsible for the development and administration of the Labuan International Business and Financial Centre and acts as its central regulatory, supervisory and enforcement authority. The website gives details of the legislation and guidelines governing the business activities of the Labuan IBFC. There is also more general information about Labuan FSA (organisation chart, staff directory, mission statement) and the activities of the Labuan IBFC.

Securities Commission Malaysia

The Securities Commission is a statutory body with investigative and enforcement powers and a range of regulatory functions based around protecting the investor and encouraging and promoting the development of the securities and derivatives market in Malaysia. This is its official website and contains an overview of the Securities Commission and its work, details of relevant legislation and guidelines, information on capital market licencing, capital market data and statistics, press releases and careers information. It can be viewed in Bahasa Melayu as well as English.

IUS-INFO is a subscription website providing full text legislation, case law, news and articles relating to Slovenian law. It is provided in Slovenian with an English interface.

Database of the Constitutions of Sub-Saharan Africa

Database of constitutions and constitutional documents of African countries, provided by the University of Konstanz. The contents can be searched or browsed by jurisdiction. The database was been compiled by Katharina Holzinger, Florian Kern and Daniela Kromrey of the Department of Politics and Public Administration. Documents are provided in the original language; some historical versions are available as well as recent texts. Most can be downloaded and/or accessed via links to other websites.

Banking laws of Slovenia

This collection of banking laws and regulations is made freely available online by the Bank of Slovenia (the central bank of the Republic of Slovenia). There is legislation covering banking supervision, banknotes and coins, foreign exchange, monetary policy, money laundering and payment services and systems. The site can be viewed in English and Slovenian and most of the legislation is provided in English. Documents can be downloaded in full text in PDF.

Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia

Website of the Serbian Official Gazette published by Public Enterprise Official Gazette. The Gazette includes published acts of the Serbian National Assembly, the President, Constitutional Court and other official bodies. The site also offers a subscription service to Serbian laws in English covering the political system, business, investment, taxation, finance and intellectual property. The site can be viewed in Serbian and English.

Laws of South Africa

Website providing consolidated South African legislation. The site is compiled and made freely available by the Oliver R Tambo Law Library at the University of Pretoria in partnership with SAFLII (Southern African Legal Information Institute). The database can be searched or browsed, and offers both current and historical versions of acts in PDF format. There is a separate listing of legislation currently in force.
