Online guide to the law of South Sudan, which became a sovereign nation in 2011, written by Paul Mertenskoetter who is a Juris Doctor candidate at the New York University School of Law and Dong Samuel Luak who is Secretary-General of the South Sudan Law Society. The guide was published in 2012 on the Globalex website and made freely available by the Hauser Global Law School Program at the New York University School of Law. The authors provide background information to South Sudan and an outline of the 2011 transitional Constitution. There are sections on the executive, legislative and judicial powers and the court system. Links are given to a selection of full text laws available in English.
