Chartered Institute of Legal Executives

The Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEx) was formerly called the Institute of Legal Executives (ILEX). It is the professional organisation representing legal executives and trainee legal executives in the United Kingdom. Established in 1963 to provide education and training facilities particularly for non solicitor staff employed in fee earning work and in the management of firms. CILEx is also involved in the development and regulation of the professional conduct and practice standards of its members.

De Rebus

Website of De Rebus, the online version of the official monthly journal of the Law Society of South Africa. The journal covers a broad range of subjects of interest to the legal profession, including tax matters, labour and family law, civil procedure and third-party matters. Monthly sections are included analysing constitutional cases and new legislation, and new developments in the legal profession. Issues of De Rebus are made freely available on the site in full-text back to 1998.

Association of Child Abuse Lawyers

Website for the UK's Association of Child Abuse Lawyers, an organisation aiming to offer practical support for lawyers and other professionals working for adults and children who have been abused. The site has advice aimed at survivors and contact details of solicitors specialising in child abuse work. There is a page of news stories, details of training courses and a page of related web links. Parts of the site are restricted to members only.

Law Society of New South Wales

Website of the Law Society of New South Wales, the professional association for the solicitor's branch of the legal profession in the State of New South Wales, Australia. The site offers legal, professional and management resources for solicitors including access to the Law Society Journal, Caveat Bulletin, Library Catalogue, Law Society Precedents, information on professional conduct and regulation. Many of these are restricted to members only. Information aimed at the public includes advice on a number of legal topics, dealing with a lawyer and making a complaint.

Law Society of Hong Kong

Official website for the Law Society of Hong Kong, the professional association for solicitors in Hong Kong. The site has organisationsal information, committee details and annual reports of the Society and provides information on admission criteria and registration procedures.

Gazette du Palais

Web pages of the Gazette du Palais, the French law journal and current awareness service for the legal profession in France. The printed Gazette has been in publication since 1881. Features of the website include the "fonds documentaire", the "s?lection gazette", and the "copies d'arr?ts". To gain full access, a subscription is needed. The site is in French throughout.

Elexica

Website offering online legal resources by lawyers for lawyers with content provided by international law firm Simmons & Simmons. Elexica provides legal news, articles, legislative updates and case summaries arranged by legal subject. More detailed reports cover topics including commercial, corporate law, dispute resolution, employment and financial markets. There are regular newsletters and details of events and online training. Free registration is required to access much of the content provided by this site.

Law Society of Ireland

Website of the Law Society of Ireland. The Society, established in 1773, works to improve access to the law generally and also provides representation, services and support for solicitors. It exercises statutory functions in relation to the education, admission, enrolment, discipline and regulation of the solictors' profession. The site provides an overview of the work of the society and of the legal profession in Ireland.

New Zealand Law Society

The website of the New Zealand Law Society (NZLS) provides information about the work of the organisation, including its committees and sections. Selected articles from "LawTalk" (the NZLS magazine) are available back to 2008. The site also includes other NZLS publications, information about practising law in New Zealand, general legal information for the public, news and other resources.

City Legal Information Group

Website for the City Legal Information Group (formerly known as the City Law Librarians Group) an association for legal information professionals based in central London in the UK. The CLIG takes its membership from law firm librarians, academic librarians and other legal information specialists working around the city. The Group organises regular meetings to enhance professional development and facilitate training and opportunities for establishing contacts and exchanging information.
