InterAction : American Council for Voluntary International Action

InterAction is a 'coalition of more than 150 non-profit organizations working worldwide and a leading advocate in the U.S. for humanitarian assistance to the world's poor.' The site includes information on the latest humanitarian emergencies, InterAction's Development Division projects, links to development-related and other external sites, extensive details of forthcoming events, InterAction publications and also access to many of the articles from 'Monday Developments' - InterAction's biweekly publication.

Linkages Journal

Issues of Linkages Journal, 1996-2002, on the old, archived version of the IISD website. The journal was produced by the International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD), providing environmental news, updates on environmental negotiations, summaries of key environment and sustainable development meetings, and a summary of recent notable academic literature. In 2002, Linkages Journal became 'Linkages Update', which is listed separately on Eagle-i and available at https://enb.iisd.org/linkages-update/.

Basel Convention on the Control of Transboundary Movements of Hazardous Wastes and their Disposal

Produced by the Information Unit for Conventions (IUC) of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), this site maintains information on the Basel Convention on the Control of Transboundary Movements of Hazardous Wastes and their Disposal. The Basel Convention was adopted in 1989 and entered into force on 5 May 1992. The treaty strictly regulates the transboundary movements of hazardous wastes and provides obligations to its Parties to ensure that such wastes are managed and disposed of in an environmentally sound manner.

Den norske Helsingforskomite

The Norwegian Helsinki Committee is a member of the International Helsinki Federation for Human Rights and works to promote democracy and human rights within Europe. Its primary activites include the monitoring of parliamentary elections within the OSCE (Office for Security of Central Europe). The website includes the full-text of the Helsinki Committee's reports on parliamentary elections since 1995. These include reports from Albania, Romania, the former Yugoslavia and nations of the former Soviet Union. The text is available in Norwegian or English.

Network of Concerned Historians

The Network of Concerned Historians (NCH) was established in 1995 at Groningen University in the Netherlands with the aim of linking international human rights organizations campaigning for censored or persecuted historians with the worldwide community of historians. Its website has information on the history and activities of the NCH and links to documents dealing with general human rights issues, copyright, democracy, disappearances, freedom of opinion and expression, genocide, racism, repatriation and international humanitarian law.

Verdragenbank

Free database of treaty information on the Dutch government website, Overheid.nl. Covers treaties to which the Netherlands is a party and/or the depositary. Includes the title, the date the treaty came into force, the parties, where the treaty is published, renunciations, declarations and depositary notifications. Provides links to the text of each treaty in the Tractatenblad ('Treaty Series') or other official sources, in Dutch. The search interface is available in either English or Dutch.

Utrecht Law Review

The Utrecht Law Review is an open-access peer-reviewed journal published by the Law Faculty at Utrecht University in the Netherlands. The journal publishes cross-border legal research, covering private law, criminal law, constitutional and administrative law, European and public international law.

International Center for Transitional Justice

The International Center for Transitional Justice (ICTJ) is an organisation working with countries where there have been mass atrocities or abuses of human rights. The site outlines the Center's research, training and legal and policy analysis and makes available its reports, briefings and other publications. The organisation has initiatives in Africa, Asia, Europe, the Middle East and North Africa.The site is in English, Spanish, French and Arabic.

Law Library Microform Consortium

The Law Library Microform Consortium (LLMC) is a Minnesota-based non-profit organisation. The LLMC was founded in 1976 to preserve ageing legal and government publications initially in microfiche format and now digitally online. The database has historical materials including statutes, session laws, judicial decisions, administrative regulations, and government reports from jurisdictions around the world. LLMC can be browsed by jurisdiction, date (from the eleventh century), language or type of material or searched by keyword.

Antarctic Treaty

This section of the British Antarctic Survey website provides background information and full-text copies of the Antarctic Treaty 1959 and related agreements including the Convention for the Conservation of Antarctic Seals (1972), Agreed Measures for the Conservation of Antarctic Fauna and Flora (1964), the Convention on the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources (1980) and the Protocol on Environmental Protection to the Antarctic Treaty (1991). This collection of international agreements is known as the Antarctic Treaty System.
