Utrecht Law Review

The Utrecht Law Review is an open-access peer-reviewed journal published by the Law Faculty at Utrecht University in the Netherlands. The journal publishes cross-border legal research, covering private law, criminal law, constitutional and administrative law, European and public international law.

International Center for Transitional Justice

The International Center for Transitional Justice (ICTJ) is an organisation working with countries where there have been mass atrocities or abuses of human rights. The site outlines the Center's research, training and legal and policy analysis and makes available its reports, briefings and other publications. The organisation has initiatives in Africa, Asia, Europe, the Middle East and North Africa.The site is in English, Spanish, French and Arabic.

Law Library Microform Consortium

The Law Library Microform Consortium (LLMC) is a non-profit, library cooperative based at the University of Hawaii in the United States. The LLMC was founded in 1976 and provides a subscription service giving access to legal and government publications in microfiche format and digitally online. The site has online catalogues listing the titles offered in microfiche format. These include US federal and state legal materials, US military law, canon law, Anglo-American legal periodicals, Anglo-American legal treatises and a collection of native American legal materials.

Antarctic Treaty

This section of the British Antarctic Survey website provides background information and full-text copies of the Antarctic Treaty 1959 and related agreements including the Convention for the Conservation of Antarctic Seals (1972), Agreed Measures for the Conservation of Antarctic Fauna and Flora (1964), the Convention on the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources (1980) and the Protocol on Environmental Protection to the Antarctic Treaty (1991). This collection of international agreements is known as the Antarctic Treaty System.

Peace Agreements Digital Collection

The Peace Agreements Digital Collection aims to provide free access to all peace treaties signed since 1989, in both inter- and intra-state conflicts. The collection is maintained by the Jeannette Rankin Program as part of the Margarita S. Studemeister Digital Library in International Conflict Management. It is possible to browse the collection by continent and nation, or to search by key word.

Legal Protection of Cultural Property: A Selective Resource Guide

This online resource guide to the legal protection of cultural property has been written by Louise Tsang who is a research librarian at law firm Greenberg Traurig in the United States. The guide was published in the features section of LLRX.com in April 2007 and updates a previous version from April 2004. The guide provides references to sources of printed and electronic information and to organisations concerned with the protection of cultural property and art theft. There are links to sites providing background information and to other resource guides.

VERTIC

VERTIC is an independent, non-profit-making research organisation which verifies and monitors international agreements relating to disarmament, peace and environmental protection. Publications available on the website include VERTIC's newsletter, Trust and Verify, as well as briefings, reports, occasional papers and factsheets. The site also provides a collection of national legislation implementing the Biological Weapons Convention, other national implementation information and a database concerning weapons inspections in Iraq. There is also a section devoted to treaties.

International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea

The International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea (ITLOS) is a judicial body established by the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea. It is based in the German city of Hamburg. The website provides proceedings and judgments from the first case onwards, together with statutes, rules, regulations, the text of the Convention and other agreements and press releases. Background information about the Tribunal is available, as are profiles of the judges and information about procedure. The site is in English and French.

Armenian National Institute

The Armenian National Institute is a US-based organisation committed to affirmation of and research into the Armenian genocide, which occurred during the First World War. Its website provides a large collection of resources, including a timeline; photographic images; contemporary press coverage; full-text treaties, reports and other documents; the indictment and verdict of the Turkish Military Tribunal of 1919; and bibliographies. The site also offers an educational resources section for teachers.

World Trade Organization Documents Online

Online database of World Trade Organization (WTO) and GATT official documents, including official records of committees and other WTO bodies, legal texts and agreements, background papers, sessions of the Ministerial Conference and papers from conferences and seminars. Detailed search facilities are available and documents can be browsed by subject or meeting. It is also possible to browse the most recent or most popular material on the database.
