This European Commission website aims to provide an overview of the civil and commercial law of both the European Union and its member states, for the benefit of those involved in transnational litigation, including ordinary citizens and judges. National law information page are available covering almost thirty subjects, including bringing a case to court, enforcement of judgments, legal aid, divorce, succession and alternative dispute resolution. There is a link to the European Judicial Atlas in Civil Matters, which provides practical information for litigators, and a What's New section highlighting developments affecting transnational litigation.
