International Institute of Air and Space Law

Website of the International Institute of Air and Space Law, which is based at Leiden University in the Netherlands. The institute's work includes teaching at graduate and post-graduate level, conducting research and providing advice and information to governments, international organisations and airlines. Its website includes information about the work of the Institute, the Hague Space Resources Governance Working Group and the International Air Law Moot Court.

National Law Center for Inter-American Free Trade

Website of the National Law Center for Inter-American Free Trade (NLCIFT) a non-profit research organisation affiliated to the James E. Rogers College of Law at the University of Arizona. The aim of NLCIFT is "to develop the legal infrastructure necessary to facilitate the movement of goods, services and investment capital in the Western Hemisphere." The NLCIFT carries out research into the commercial laws and practices of countries in the Western Hemisphere with the aim of harmonising and standardising the legal infrastructure and eliminating the barriers to free trade.

Centre for European Legal Studies

Website of the Centre for European Legal Studies (CELS) at the University of Cambridge. Gives information about the work of CELS and the projects it is concerned with. These cover European Union law and the individual legal systems of European countries. A brief description is given of their involvement with the British Centre for English Legal Studies at Warsaw University in Poland. The site includes details of the staff, management committee, advisory board and fellows of CELS and there is information relating to the centre's past and forthcoming conferences, seminars and lectures.

European Centre for Space Law

Website of the European Centre for Space Law (ECSL), a research organisation set up by the European Space Agency (ESA) in 1989 with the aim of "improving space law research, education and practice in Europe." ECSL's website has course information, publications and a newsletter. Also included are ESA laws and regulations, bibliographies and other information.

Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies, University of Minnesota

Website of the Centre for Holocaust and Genocide Studies, at the University of Minnesota in the United States. The site includes educational resources relating to the Nazi holocaust and genocide studies in general, including video and audio materials, personal narratives and photographs. There is also a searchable database of relevant books and articles. Information is provided about the work of the Centre and its newsletter is available from the Fall 1999 issue onwards.

Institute for Human Rights, Åbo Akademi University

The Institute for Human Rights is part of the Department of Law at the Åbo Akademi University, Finland. Its main areas of research are the rights of minorities and indigenous peoples; economic and social rights; non-discrimination; fundamental standards of humanity; participation and democracy; and human rights in domestic legal systems. The Institute is the Finnish documentation centre for literature on human rights and a Council of Europe depository library for information concerning the European Convention on Human Rights. The website is in English.

Great Britain-China Centre

The Great Britain-China Centre exists to promote understanding between Britain and China, focusing in particular on legal and judicial reform. The website has information on projects dealing with human rights reporting, the police, judicial studies training and the death penalty. The Centre's journal, the China Review, is available on the site from 2006 onwards.

Buffalo Criminal Law Center

The website of the Buffalo Criminal Law Center provides an overview of the Center's mission, programmes of study, and research activities. The center is based at the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Law and aims to help students in their advanced research into criminal law, as well as acting as an advisory body to US state and federal legislatures about criminal justice issues. The site gives details of the Herbert Wechsler National Criminal Law Moot Court Competition, and the Center's own LL.M. programme in Criminal Law.

Centre de Droit Maritime et Océanique

Website of the Centre de Droit Maritime et Océanique (CDMO) which is based in the Law Faculty at the University of Nantes in France. The information on the site is aimed at students of the Diploma of further studies of Judicial Sciences of the Sea and includes profiles of research staff and students and work (dissertations and essays) being undertaken at the centre. Articles from the Centre's online journal, Revue Juridique Neptunus, are available back to 1994 in PDF format (in French only).

Montreal Institute for Genocide and Human Rights Studies

Website of the Montreal Institute for Genocide and Human Rights Studies at Concordia University. Presents information about events and courses, news and selected papers from the MIGS Occasional Papers series. The "Memoirs of Holocaust Survivors in Canada" project makes available unpublished diaries and memoirs from victims of the Holocaust through the site. There is also a set of annotated links concerning genocide and related topics.
