Law Society of Upper Canada

The Law Society of Upper Canada is the self-governing body for lawyers in the Canadian province of Ontario.The website has information about the history, management and functions of the Law Society with online news and press releases providing details of the Law Society's activities. There is information about the complaints and discipline process along with rules of professional conduct, byelaws and discipline decisions online back to 2001. The site includes reports produced by the Law Society covering education and equality issues and copies of the Ontario Lawyers Gazette.

Website of the Belgium courts and tribunals covering the administration of justice in Belgium. It gives contact details and background information for Belgian courts including the Cour de Cassation, Cours d'Appel, Cours du Travail and various tribunals.  There is also general information for the public about the law and the judicial system in Belgium. The site is available in French, Dutch or German.

Principauté de Monaco

Official website of the Government of Monaco. Outlines the role and functions of Monaco institutions including the Prince, the Minister of State, the judiciary and the Government Council. There is also an overview of government policy in areas such as education, the economy, the law, sport and culture. The Monaco Constitution is available on the site, in French. There is also news from Monaco and information aimed at people living in the Principality. The site can be viewed in French and English.

Canadian Tax Treaties

This webpage, provided by the Canadian Department of Finance, lists recent changes to treaties and provides a collection of  tax treaties in force, arranged by country. Information is also given about treaties that are not yet in force and treaties that are under negotiation. 

European Social Charter

Council of Europe website providing information for the public about the European Social Charter. The site includes recent news, presentations on the charter, information on the European Committee of Social Rights and a survey country by country. The site is fully searchable and available in English and French, with some sections in other languages.

Jurisite Tunisie

Jurisite Tunisie is a not-for-profit legal information website providing Tunisian codes and individual laws, legal news and discussion forums. There is a practice section with a collection of links to other websites with Tunisian legal content; tax calculators and other tools; and answers to frequently asked questions on various legal topics. There is a link to the Tunisian Republic's Système d'information et de communication administrative (SICAD), which allows free downloading of official and legal documents as published in the Tunisian Official Journal. The site is in French.

Union Internationale des Avocats

The Union Internationale des Avocats (UIA) is a non-governmental organisation established in 1927 to establish international contacts between lawyers. It seeks to promote and defend the legal profession, uphold international principles of human rights and justice and develop the body of international legal knowledge. Commissions of the UIA carry out research and development work on more than 40 aspects of law and legal practice.

Droits d'urgence

Droits d'urgence is a French lawyers' association providing free legal advice to poor and marginalised people. The site offers basic information on the association's work, including its charter and code of practice for volunteers, and its programme of legal advice / information in Paris and elsewhere. Established in 1995, the association co-operates with a number of local authorities and humanitarian agencies in France. The site is in French.
