International Institute of Humanitarian Law

The International Institute of Humanitarian Law is an independent not-for-profit organisation based in Italy. It conducts research, holds conferences and meetings, and trains civil and military personnel on international humanitarian law (IHL), human rights, refugee law and migration law. The site has background information on the history and principles of international humanitarian law and the right to humanitarian assistance, along with materials from events hosted by the Institute. It also provides an online library of publications on general and specific aspects of IHL.

Fletcher Forum of World Affairs

Website of the Fletcher Forum of World Affairs an online journal produced by students at The Fletcher School at Tufts University in the United States. This foreign affairs journal is published biannually and covers the legal, political, economic, environmental and diplomatic issues surrounding international affairs. The journal includes feature articles, book reviews, interviews and editorials. Contents pages and abstracts are made freely available on the site back to Fall 2000 with selected articles from each issue provided in full text.

Royal Faculty of Procurators in Glasgow

The Royal Faculty of Procurators in Glasgow (RFPG) is a membership organisation for the legal profession in Glasgow. The RFPG provides legal information and education services and represents the interests of its members. The site has details of CPD courses and services offered by the RFPG Library, including webinars that can be downloaded for a fee. There is also information about the Wills Search Database.

Scottish Justices Association

The Scottish Justices Association (SJA)was established in 2007 to represent Justices of the Peace (JPs) in Scotland, following the unification of JP Courts with Sheriff Courts. The site gives a history of justices of the peace in Scotland and provides the SJA constitution, standing orders and rules. There are details of SJA meetings, recent news items and links to related websites.

Griffith University Innocence Project

Website of the Innocence Project at Griffith University in Australia. The aim of this pro-bono project is to bring lawyers, law students and academics together to help free innocent persons who have been wrongly convicted in Australia.The site has profiles of Board Members and gives details of programmes and courses offered by the Project. There are references to articles produced by staff on the Project some of which are given in full text.

Panopticon

The Panopticon blog is maintained by barristers at 11KBW in London. It monitors developments taking place in information law. The site has a section explaining what information law covers, including areas such as "data protection, freedom of information, the protection of private information under article 8 of the European Convention on Human Rights, breach of confidence, and the regulation of surveillance". Posts cover legal news stories including links to original sources, decisions, legislation and reports.

Carbon Capture Legal Programme

Website of the Carbon Capture Legal Programme (CCLP) a project developed by the Centre for Law and the Environment at University College London. The purpose of the project is to provide information on and access to key legal materials concerning Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS). This collection is now hoted by the Global Carbon Capture and Storage Institute.

ClientEarth is a charity whose aim is to protect the environment through the use of law. The site has profiles of its trustees, staff, associates and advisors and an outline of its activities. News and ClientEarth publications are available, including articles, reports and briefings.

Australian Privacy and Surveillance Law Library

An AustLII project providing a searchable collection of Australian legal materials on privacy and surveillance law. The Library was been developed in conjunction with the interpreting Privacy Principles (iPP) Project at the Cyberspace Law & Policy Centre at the University of New South Wales. There are databases containing case law, legislation, law journals and law reform publications as well as links to external related resources. The content can be searched or browsed.
