Constitution of the Republic of Vanuatu

Consolidated 2006 version of the Constitution of Vanuatu, available on the PacLII website. The Constitution includes chapters dealing with state and sovereignty, fundamental rights and duties, citizenship, the role of the President, parliament and the National Council of Chiefs, justice, administration, land and emergency powers. PacLII (Pacific Islands Legal Information Institute) is a joint initiative involving the University of the South Pacific and the Australasian Legal Information Institute.

Information Law Institute (ILI)

Website of the New York Law School's Information Law Institute which focuses on law, technology and civil liberties. The site has details of courses, events and people involved with the Institute. There are also details of research projects being undertaken at the Institute such as the IProgress Project the aim of which is to improve "intellectual property law and policy through research initiatives focused on law and regulatory reform, software innovation, and legal education". Virtuelle Fachbibliothek Recht

The Virtuelle Fachbibliothek Recht (Virtual Law Library) is a portal to high-quality legal resources on the internet, with an emphasis on German legal information. It forms part of the Special Law Collection at the Berlin State Library - Prussian Cultural Heritage in Germany. The portal is arranged into eight sections. The Subject Information Gateway provides access to resources relevant to academic legal research and can be searched by keyword or browsed by subject.

Inter-American Cooperation Portal on Cyber-Crime

The Inter-American Cooperation Portal on Cyber-Crime is the website of the Group of Governmental Experts on Cyber Crime established by the Department of Legal Cooperation at the Organization of American States (OAS). The purpose of the group is to look at the issues surrounding cyber crime in OAS member countries, including national legislation, policies and practices, and identify ways of cooperating within the Inter-American system to combat these crimes.

Center for Oceans Law and Policy

Website of the Center for Oceans Law and Policy (COLP) a research and education centre focusing on legal and public policy issues relating to the oceans and based at the University of Virginia School of Law. The site provides details of courses run at the COLP and publications produced by the Centre. There is a section providing information and documentation relating to the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea. Materials include a full text copy of the Convention, a list of parties and related agreements and testimonies and letters supporting United States accession to the Convention.

Lands Tribunal for Scotland

Official website of the Lands Tribunal for Scotland an independent civil court dealing with disputes involving land or property such as valuations for rating on non-domestic premises, tenantsã rights to purchase their public sector houses, disputes relating to compensation for compulsory purchase of land and appeals against the Keeper of the Registers of Scotland. The site provides historical and background information on the Tribunal, its functions and the work of its staff. Links are given to related legislation and there is guidance for users of the Tribunal.

Lands Tribunal for Northern Ireland

Official website of the Lands Tribunal for Northern Ireland a court whose role is to settle disputes relating to land and buildings. The Lands Tribunal for Northern Ireland was established by the Lands Tribunal and Compensation Act (NI) 1964 and deals with appeals concerning the valuation of land for rate relief purposes, compensation for the compulsory acquisition of land, renewal of business tenancies and consent for alterations to land.

Guide to Qatar's legal system

Online guide to the law and legal materials of Qatar written by Dr Ahmed Khedr. Published on New York University's Globalex website and updated periodically (most recently in 2025), it gives an introduction to and general history of Qatar and an outline of the legal system, which is based on Sharia (Islamic) law. There are sections covering the Constitution, the hereditary system of government and how laws are made. The author also covers the status and functions of the Amir, the Council of Ministers, the Advisory Council (Al-Shoura Council) and the judiciary and court system.
