The site provides background information on the government, politics, industry, language and culture of the Faroes. Prime Minister of Estonia

This is the official website of the Prime Minister of Estonia. It includes access to some biographical information, press and policy statements from the current office holder. These cover all aspects of the foreign, economic, political and social policy of Estonia. The site can be viewed in Estonian, Russian and English.

APEC Competition Policy and Law Database

APEC is a forum for the promotion of open trade and economic cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region. The APEC Competition Policy and Law Database is a free resource; it includes members' competition policies and laws, competition decision guidelines, administrative and judicial decisions, international agreements, statistics and other information. A collection of links to official trade and competition websites is also provided.

Finnish Bar Association

Website of the Finnish Bar Association, an organisation representing advocates in Finland. The site makes freely available in HTML an English language version of the Act on Advocates 1958, which first established and now regulates the Association. There are also full details of the membership requirements and the by-laws of the Association, covering topics such as the board, delegation, accounts and auditing, chapters, dues, arbitration, duties of a member, disciplinary procedures, appeals and miscellaneous provisions.

WEX : LII's collaborative legal dictionary and encyclopedia

Wex is an ambitious effort to construct a collaboratively-created, public-access law dictionary and encyclopedia. It comprises a series of guidance summaries on legal topics in United States law, sponsored by the Legal Information Institute at Cornell Law School and made freely available on the LII website. Broad topics covered by the series include: Commercial law; Criminal law and Criminal procedure; Employment; Energy; Intellectual Property; International law; Legal ethic; and Tax.

Penn State Law Review

Web pages for a US law school journal focusing on international legal scholarship, and published 4 times a year. The Penn State Law Review (formerly Dickinson Law Review) is edited by students at the Dickinson Law School in Pennsylvania State University, drawing contributions from legal academics and professional lawyers from around the world. The journal publishes articles on international legal issues and transnational matters, with some coverage of legal developments in individual foreign jurisdictions. The law school website presents contents listings for the past six years only.

Finlex

Collection of freely accessible Finnish law databases produced under the auspices of the Finnish Ministry of Justice (Oikeusministeri¸). Finlex has an English language interface outlining the nature of the legislative materials included, however the majority of texts are only available in Finnish, Swedish or Sami. It encompasses all laws and decrees published in the Finnish Statute Series since 1987 and compilations of laws and statutes published before 1987. Texts of legislation published after 1995 are available to download in PDF format.

Åland Parliament

Official website of the Parliament of the Islands of Åland (Åland Lagting). The Åland islands lie in the entrance to the Gulf of Bothnia between Finland and Sweden and have historically been of great strategic importance. This strongly influenced their achievement of a neutralised and demilitarized autonomy in 1922, when the Parliament was established.

Legal system of Finland

This section of the Finnish Ministry of Justice (Oikeusministeri¸) website outlines various aspects of the legal system in Finland. There is historical information giving background to the legal system, identifying its Western and Eastern influences and describing the resulting rule of Law. Links are given to the various state legal authorities including the Chancellor of Justice, the Parliamentary Ombudsman, the Consumer Ombudsman and the Ombudsman for Equality. There is information on the Constitution along with links to full text versions in a range of languages.
