Europe and Eurasia Program

The Europe and Eurasia Program is an initiative of the American Bar Association's Center for Global Programs. It gives technical legal assistance to countries in Central and Eastern Europe and Eurasia, with a view to strengthening the rule of law, with projects focusing on internet freedom, commercial law, combating corruption and strengthening judicial systems. The Program's website provides news, research papers and details of activities in each country.

Food and Drug Law Institute

The Food and Drug Law Institute (FDLI) is a US non-profit organisation established in 1949 to facilitate public discussion and education on laws, regulations and policies affecting health care technologies, food and cosmetics. Its website covers the FDLI's activities, which include organising conferences and course and publishing titles such as the Food & Drug Law Journal and the yearly FDA Directory. Contents and abstracts from the Food & Drug Law Journal are available, together with a few open access articles. E-learning resources can be accessed for a fee, via the Virtual Learning page.

Arbitration Centre of Mexico

Website of the Centro de Arbitraje de Mexico (CAM), an organisation offering national and international arbitration services and education and training to advance arbitration culture in Mexico. The site provides information about CAM's services including training, a selection of model clauses and agreements and full-text rules of arbitration. There is also a newsletter, details of publications and upcoming seminars and events.

Chamber of Arbitration of Milan

Website of the Chamber of Arbitration of Milan, a special agency of the Chamber of Commerce of Milan providing commercial dispute resolution services. The site carries information about the Chamber's objectives, composition and services. Italian arbitration laws and the Chamber's mediation and arbitration rules are available to download. Practical information on arbitration and mediation is also given including forms, costs and model arbitration clauses and agreements. The site is freely accessible in HTML and available in English and Italian language versions.

Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists

Organisation for solicitors, barristers and legal executives specialising in contentious trust and probate work in England and Wales. The site explains the role of the ACTAPS in supporting the work of legal professionals in the field, through education and training, conferences and representation to government and judicial bodies. The site includes the Code of Conduct for ACTAPS members and an ACTAPS Membership list with notes on becoming a member also provided. Parts of the site are available to members only.

Algerian law guide

A commentary and bibliographic resource guide concerned with Algerian law, legal materials and research written by Dahmène Touchent, a legal information specialist and journalist responsible for the Algerian legal database, Lexalgeria. The guide is published on the Globalex website and is made freely available by the Hauser Global Law School Program at the New York University School of Law. The author presents an overview of law and the legal system in Algeria with reference to the main print, electronic, and free web sources.

Cairo Regional Centre for International Commercial Arbitration

Non-profit organisation providing services to resolve and prevent regional and international trade and investment disputes, with a particular emphasis on the economic development of African and Asian countries. The site carries information about CRCICA history, objectives and services, alongside an explanation of the rules governing the composition of its panel of arbitrators and experts. The site also provides news, details of events, publications and the contents lists of the Journal of Arab Arbitration.

Chicago International Dispute Resolution Association

Website of the Chicago International Dispute Resolution Association (CIDRA), a non profit organisation established in 1997. The site provides information about CIDRA's objectives, services and training courses, accompanied by profiles of CIDRA approved arbitrators and mediators. The site publishes the text of the rules governing CIDRA's administration of arbitrations and mediations, articles and model clauses.

McLibel Trial

Website publishing a range of information about the "McLibel Trial", the libel case brought by multinational company McDonalds against two London activists, which became the longest court case in English history. The site has been developed by the London based McLibel Support Campaign, a group formed in 1990 to raise funds for the defendants. The judgement is made freely available on the site in full text or summary form. Other legal materials on the site include the defendents' appeal against the judgement and a copy of the leaflet at the centre of the trial, "What's Wrong with McDonalds".
