London Maritime Arbitrators Association

The London Maritime Arbitrators Association (LMAA) is a membership body for specialists in maritime dispute resolution. Its website provides its current and previous terms of procedure, with commentary; model arbitration clauses; links to UK arbitration legislation; and a list of arbitrators. There is also a collection of papers and news items, together with details of the association's events. There is a restricted section for LMAA members.

Council of Europe: Resources - Sport

Collection of documents relating to sport, on the Council of Europe (CoE) website. It includes CoE publications and official texts, including treaties, recommendations, statements, declarations, guidelines and reports. The subjects covered include doping, spectator violence, sports policy, ethics, sport promotion and political aspects of sport (including discrimination). The site is in French and English.

World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA)

The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) "promotes and coordinates at institutional level the fight against doping in sport in all forms". WADA was established under the terms of the Lausanne Declaration on Doping in Sport which followed from the first World Conference on Doping in Sport in Lausanne, Switzerland, on February 2-4, 1999. WADA monitors compliance with the worldwide standrad for anti-doping regulation - the World Anti-Doping Code. The website contains material on the development, acceptance and implementation of the world anti-doping code.

European e-Justice portal

The e-Justice portal is a one-stop shop for lawyers, businesses and members of the public concerned with cross-border legal questions in Europe. It has information about the judicial and legal systems of all member states and provides access to EU and national legislation and case law. 15 tools or dynamic functions are available, including Find a Lawyer, Find a Company, the Fundamental Rights Interactive Tool, the Competent Court Database and a training platform for lawyers and the judiciary. The site can be accessed in all the official EU languages.

United Nations Human Rights Council

The UN Human Rights Council is the successor to the UN Commission on Human Rights. It is responsible for promoting and protecting human rights around the world. The Council's website gives details of its membership, rules of procedure, advisory committees and working groups, meetings and other events. There is information about the Universal Periodic Review (UPR), whereby the HRC reviews the human rights record of each UN Member States every four years.

Priv-War

Priv-War was a collaborative project by seven European academic institutions, coordinated by the European University Institute in Italy. It ran from 2008 to 2011 and the website is being maintained as an information source. The aim of Priv-War was to research the use of private military companies and security companies in situations of armed conflict and examine national and international regulatory frameworks.

Intesa Sanpaolo Center for Transnational Litigation and Commercial Law

Based at New York University School of Law, this research centre focuses on international business transactions and dispute resolution. Its website has profiles of faculty and staff and details of courses, events and publications covering private international law, international commercial law, international commercial arbitration and transnational civil litigation.

International Council for Commercial Arbitration

Website of the International Council for Commercial Arbitration (ICCA), an international NGO concerned with the promotion of arbitration, conciliation and other methods of resolving international commercial disputes. The ICCA contributes to preparation of the Arbitration Rules of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law, the UNCITRAL Conciliation Rules, and the UNCITRAL Model Law on International Commercial Arbitration. The main publication of the ICCA is the Yearbook Commercial Arbitration; contents lists and indexes from the Yearbook are available on the website.

Law Reports of Trials of War Criminals

This Library of Congress web page provides access to the 15 volume collection of the Law Reports of Trials of War Criminals selected and prepared by the United Nations War Crimes Commission. The trials took place between 1947 and 1949. This collection has representative cases featuring lower-ranking military officers and concentration camp administrators who were tried for war crimes and does not include the trials of most prominent Japanese and Nazi leaders that took place in Nuremberg and Tokyo.
