State Bar Association of North Dakota

Website of the State Bar Association of North Dakota (SBAND) the official body representing lawyers in North Dakota in the United States. The site gives information about SBAND including contact details for the Board of Governors and Bar Association news. There is a members' directory that can be searched by name or browsed alphabetically, careers information and details of continuing legal education. A legislative watch list is made available giving full-text versions of North Dakota House and Senate bills and resolutions grouped by category. These can be viewed in PDF.

State Bar of Nevada

The State Bar of Nevada regulates the legal profession in the US state of Nevada. Its website has details of committees/sections and information about continuing legal education. It also covers ethics and lawyer discipline and provides ethics opinions back to 1974. The Nevada Lawyer and other publications are available and there is a directory of members. For the public there is guidance on making a complaint and information on subjects such as bankruptcy, divorce, power of attorney and making a will.

New Hampshire Bar Association

The New Hampshire Bar Association regulates attorneys licensed to practice in the US state of New Hampshire and also provides continuing legal education. The site includes details of events and courses, conduct rules, practice guidelines, publications including New Hampshire Bar News, and a directory of members. For the public there is information about the New Hampshire court system and guides to key legal topics, including divorce, consumer protection, bankruptcy, elder law, taxation and criminal law. Nebraska State Bar Association

Website of the Nebraska State Bar Association, the professional organisation representing lawyers and judges practising in Nebraska. The site gives a history of the Bar and contact details for members of the executive council and staff. Information for members includes current events, membership services and contact details for sections and committees. Resources include the Nebraska Lawyer magazine, The Complete Lawyer and an Internet Resources page in the public section. Parts of the website are available to members only.

Mississippi Bar

The Mississippi Bar regulates and represents the legal profession in the US state of Mississippi. Its website gives background information about the bar and has sections for members and the public. For members there are details of bar committees and sections, information about continuing legal education, practice management guidance and access to legal research resources. Publications are available, as well as a form for requesting copies of ethics opinions.

Missouri Bar

Website of the Missouri Bar the organisation which represents lawyers practising in Missouri in the United States. The site contains resources aimed at members and the Missouri public. There is information about the Bar's legislative activities and links to Missouri legislation, a database of Missouri case law summaries and a database of informal advisory opinions that can be searched or browsed by topic. There is information about the Bar including education programmes offered and the various committees and sections.

Website of the State Bar of Montana the organisation which represents lawyers practising in Montana in the United States. The website provides information about admission to the State Bar of Montana, a list of Bar officers and trustees along with contact details for members of staff. There are links to Montana legal resources including organisations, courts, forms, law libraries and the Montana legislature. Ethics opinions issued by the State Bar of Montana's Ethics Committee are available on the site. These can be searched or browsed by date, number or topic.

Massachusetts Bar Association

Website of the Massachusetts Bar Association (MBA), an organisation serving the legal profession and the public in Massachusetts. There is information about the various committees and special interest sections, Continuing Legal Education and journals published by the association. The site also has news, ethics opinions, information about the Massachusetts legal system and guidance on legal topics including consumer law, family law, employment and immigration. Parts of the website are restricted to members only.

State Bar of Michigan

The State Bar of Michigan regulates lawyers practising in the US state of Michigan. Its website has a directory of members, bar news, event listings and information about sections and committees. Professional conduct rules and court rules are also available. Links to court and to legislation sites are provided, together with ethics opinions and research publications. The Michigan Bar Journal is also available. For the public there is guidance on finding a lawyer, tips for consumers, information about making a complaint and other information. Parts of the site are restricted to members only.

Faculty of Advocates

The Faculty of Advocates is the professional association for Scottish advocates (the equivalent of English barristers). Its website has information about the work of an advocate, a directory of advocates, legal news, responses to consultations and details of the training courses. It also provides guidance on instructing an advocate and information about the Advocates Library, including access to its online catalogue.
