Website of the State Bar of South Dakota the organisation representing the legal profession in the state of South Dakota in the United States. The site includes information aimed at the general public including a selection of free online pamphlets dealing with subjects such as bankruptcy, buying a home, the elderly and the law, marriage, adoption, law and youth, South Dakota's court system and lawyer discipline.

South Carolina Bar

The South Carolina Bar represents the legal profession in the US state of South Carolina. Its website provides information about sections and committees and the Continuing Legal Education programme. Resources for members include rules, guidelines, forms and a legislative update covering bills which relate to the practice of law. The South Carolina Lawyer is available, together with legal news updates. For the public there is information about finding a lawyer and about common legal problems. Some site content is restricted to members of the bar.

Rhode Island Bar Association

Website of the Rhode Island Bar Association (RIBA), the organisation representing the legal profession in the state of Rhode Island in the United States. The site has information relating to the structure and governance of the RIBA and includes information for members and the general public. Details are given of the RIBA's committees, bylaws and Continuing Legal Education seminars. There is a link to the Rhode Island Judiciary. A selection of pamphlets aimed at the public provide information on subjects such as buying a house, making a will, divorce and jury service.

Pennsylvania Bar Association

The Pennsylvania Bar Association (PBA) is an organisation for the legal profession in the US state of Pennsylvania. Its website covers its history, bylaws, committees/sections, as well as CLE and other educational events. Newsletters, summaries of ethics opinions, podcasts and details of PBS periodicals (including indexes to the Pennsylvania Bar Association Quarterly) are also available. For the general public there is an online lawyer referral service, a collection of pamphlets on legal issues and educational material on civics and the law.

Oregon State Bar

Website of the Oregon State Bar (OSB), which licenses lawyers and paralegals, regulates the legal profession and supports the administration of justice in the US state of Oregon. The site provides information about the OSB, including details of special interest sections, qualifications and Continuing Legal Education seminars. It also provides conduct rules, ethics opinions, policy documents, guidance, newsletters, journals and forms. For the public there is information about Oregon's legal system, guidance on key legal topics, advice on hiring a lawyer and details about making a complaint.

Ohio State Bar Association

Website of the Ohio State Bar Association (OSBA) a voluntary association representing members of the legal profession practising in Ohio in the US. The OSBA website provides information about the Bar Association including a calendar of events and a membership directory. For the public there are a selection of full-text pamphlets on a range of legal subjects made freely available in HTML. Subjects covered include Ohio's marriage laws, Ohio's court system, buying a home, intellectual property rights and living wills.

North Carolina State Bar

Website of the North Carolina State Bar the organisation responsible for regulating the practice of law in North Carolina in the United States. The site has information about the State Bar including contact details of staff, Bar news, a selection of State Bar forms which can be downloaded in PDF and a members directory. The ethics section has an index of ethics opinions and a search engine allowing you to search for opinions by number, title, keyword or date.There are also details of disciplinary actions going back to 1999.

State Bar of New Mexico

Website of the State Bar of New Mexico (SBNM) which is a professional organisation representing attorneys licensed to practice law in the State of New Mexico in the US. The site has information about the SBNM including contact details for the Board of Bar Commissioners, a membership directory, information about the divisions, sections and committees and details of training courses and continuing legal education programmes. Ethics Advisory Opinions are available in full or as summaries from 1983 to 2006.
