Deutsche Institution für Schiedsgerichtsbarkeit

The aim of the Deutsche Institution für Schiedsgerichtsbarkeit (DIS), or German Institution of Arbitration, is to promote arbitration nationally and internationally. The site provides various legal texts relating to arbitration in Germany, including the 1998 Arbitration Act, plus the DIS's own arbitration rules, model arbitration clause, schedule of costs and costs calculator (all in German, English and other languages). There is a database of German arbitration case summaries (in both English and German, for the most part). DIS publications are listed and can be ordered online.

U.S. Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces

Website of the US Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces which has "jurisdiction over members of the armed forces on active duty and other persons subject to the Uniform Code of Military Justice". The site publishes details of the Court's constitutional basis, designation and history, and outlines the jurisdiction exercised by the Court and the Court's relationship to other US courts of law. It also publishes the full text opinions of the Court from 1997 onwards. The full-text (PDF) of the Annual Report of the Code Committee on Military Justice is available.

Restitution and Unjust Enrichment legal resources

Collection of resources developed by Steve Hedley of University College Cork. Restitution is a branch of the private law of obligations. The website offers an introduction to the concept of restitution and unjust enrichment, with postings on journal articles, books, cases, courses at law faculties, and a discussion group. There are links to journal articles (full-text or abstract) on restitution and contracts, and restitution and mistaken or compelled payment, restitution and family relationships, and subrogation.

Privy Council Decisions

Full text judgments in cases heard by the UK Privy Council, made freely available on BAILII, the British and Irish Legal Information Institute website. The Privy Council is the court of final appeal for those Commonwealth countries which have retained the appeal to Her Majesty in Council, or, in the case of Republics, to the Judicial Committee. It is also the final court of appeal for the Channel Islands, Isle of Man, and UK overseas territories, and has the function of being the court of final appeal for determining "devolution issues" in the UK.

Constitutional Court of the Republic of Slovenia

Webpages of the Constitutional Court of Slovenia, founded in 1963, and remodelled under the 1991 Constitution of Slovenia. Under the Constitutional Court Act (1994), the Court is "the highest body of judicial authority for the protection of constitutionality, legality, human rights and basic freedoms" in Slovenia. This site presents basic information about the Court (history, powers, composition) and the full-text, in HTML, of the Constitution of Slovenia of 1991 and of the Constitutional Court Act of 1994.

Sistema Argentino de Informatica Juridica

Website containing the official Argentinian Government database of legislation and legal resources. Provides the Constitution of Argentina, provincial constitutions, codes, national and provincial decrees, judgments of the Supreme Court, federal, national and provincial courts. There is also a large collection of journal articles and other commentary (under 'Doctrina'), as well as decisions and resolutions relating to Mercosur (the Southern common market).

European Court of Human Rights

Web pages of the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR), which has been in existence since 1959 and which was set up under the European Convention on Human Rights. The website includes the HUDOC database of ECtHR cases, European Commission of Human Rights decisions and reports and resolutions of the Committee of Ministers. The site also provides details of pending cases; the text of the European Convention on Human Rights and its protocols; and the rules of the Court together with information about its composition, organisation and historical background.

Supreme Court of Tasmania Decisions

Decisions of the Supreme Court of Tasmania made freely available on the AustLII website. This AustLII database contains full-text decisions from 1987 onwards as selected and provided by the Supreme Court of Tasmania. Decisions can be browsed by date or name and searched using the AustLII search engine. AustLII, the Australasian Legal Information Institute has been developed by the University of Technology in Sydney.

Ministério da Justiça (Portugal) - Bases Jurídico-Documentais

Several case law databases are provided here by the Portuguese Ministry of Justice. Details of decisions and agreements are available from the Office of the Attorney General, the Supreme Court, the Supreme Administrative Court, the Courts of Lisbon and Oporto, and the Constitutional Court. The texts and presentation throughout are in Portuguese. The page also offers selected bibliographic data from Portuguese law libraries.

HUDOC: Human Rights Documentation

HUDOC is a free database of European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) cases, decisions and reports of the European Commission of Human Rights, and resolutions of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe. It is part of the ECHR web portal. Users may search by case name, respondent, application number, Convention article, keyword, conclusion, date range and other criteria. Documents are HTML, PDF or Word format. The interface is available in English, French, Russian, Spanish or Turkish; the documents are mostly in English and/or French.
