The guide is arranged into broad sections providing access to policy websites, United Nations documents and United States organisations and government bodies. Direct links are given to the Americans with Disabilities Act 1990 and to related disabilities laws and regulations.

European Society of International Law

Website of the European Society of International Law (ESIL) a membership organisation designed to provide a forum for discussion and facilitate greater interaction between European lawyers on issues of international law. The site provides background information on ESIL including a copy of the constitution, by-laws, special interest groups, details of membership and occasional newsletters. There is information on past and future events hosted by ESIL and a selection of conference reports from past conferences and research forums are published and made freely available on the site.

Australian and New Zealand Society of International Law

Website of the Australian and New Zealand Society of International Law (ANZSIL). ANSZIL was established in 1992 and is hosted by the Centre for International and Public Law at the Australian National University and the New Zealand Centre for Public Law at the Victoria University of Wellington. ANZSIL aims to promote and develop the discipline of international law and provide a forum for ¶academics, government lawyers, NGOs, students and practitioners of international law to discuss research and issues of practice in international law÷.

Hague Academy of International Law

Website of the Hague Academy of International Law, a centre for research and teaching in public and private international law, based at the Peace Palace in The Hague. The site gives background and historical information about the Academy including details of summer and external programmes being offered. The site lists the academics, practitioners and diplomats who are currently running courses at the Academy which does not have a permanent teaching staff. Details of past courses held at the Academy are compiled into a publication called the Collected Courses.

Fletcher Forum of World Affairs

Website of the Fletcher Forum of World Affairs an online journal produced by students at The Fletcher School at Tufts University in the United States. This foreign affairs journal is published biannually and covers the legal, political, economic, environmental and diplomatic issues surrounding international affairs. The journal includes feature articles, book reviews, interviews and editorials. Contents pages and abstracts are made freely available on the site back to Fall 2000 with selected articles from each issue provided in full text.

Flare Index to Treaties

The Flare Index to Treaties is a free searchable database containing details of more than 2000 of the most significant multilateral treaties from about 1600 onwards, together with selected bilateral treaties signed between 1353 and 1815. The index was compiled by Dr Peter Clinch of Cardiff University and is hosted on the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies (IALS) website at the University of London. Entries are taken from "Multilateral Treaties: Index and Current Status" by Michael Bowman and David Harris and from other sources.

American Society of International Law

Website of the American Society of International Law (ASIL) a not for profit, educational organisation established in 1906. ASIL's members include lawyers, academics, corporate counsel, judges and representatives of governments and nongovernmental organisations. ASIL is concerned with a broad range of international law topics including human rights and humanitarian law, trade and investment, development, women and international law and international institutions. The site provides access to publications, events and research tools covering these subject areas.

International Treaties Collection

The International Treaties Collection is a project of WorldLII (World Legal Information Institute) which brings together collections of multilateral and bilateral treaties from the following Legal Information Institute (LIIs): AsianLII; AustLII; HKLII; NZLII; PacLII and CommonLII. The content includes treaties sponsored by many different intergovernmental organisations, from APEC to WIPO, together with numerous national treaty series; these collections can be searched individually or together, or browsed individually.

United Nations Audiovisual Library of International Law: Historic Archives

Website of the Historic Archives section of the United Nations Audiovisual Library of International Law. The Library is a free online multimedia resource of the United Nations Office of Legal Affairs. The Historic Archives collection focuses on key legal instruments covering a wide range of international law topics including criminal law, disarmament, environmental law, human rights, international economic law, law of outer space and the law of the sea.

United Nations Audiovisual Library of International Law: Lecture Series

Website of the Lecture Series section of the United Nations Audiovisual Library of International Law. The Library is a free online multimedia resource of the United Nations Office of Legal Affairs. The Lecture Series is a collection of video lectures given by given by leading international law scholars and practitioners. The lectures are arranged by subject including human rights, cultural heritage, development, international organisations, peace and security, courts and tribunals and the Arctic. A selection of related documents and profiles of the lecturers are also given on the site.
