WIPO administered treaties

Section of the official World Intellectual Property Organisation website, publishing treaties and conventions administered by the Organisation, including the convention establishing WIPO, WIPO copyright treaty, Paris Convention, Berne Convention, Rome Convention, Madrid Agreement and Locarno Agreement. The collection is organised into three groups including intellectual property protection treaties, global protection system treaties and classification treaties which create the classification systems that organise information relating to inventions, trademarks and industrial designs etc.

Oceans and Law of the Sea

Internet site publishing Law of Sea resources and related links developed by the Division for Ocean Affairs and the Law of the Sea at the UN Office of Legal Affairs. The site presents unedited advanced texts and official reports and resolutions of the Secretary-General; the full-text and an overview of UNCLOS (the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea) and related agreements with status information on ratifications and accessions. There is organisational information on the Division, information on the settlement of disputes and links to bodies established by the Convention.

International Centre for Criminal Law Reform and Criminal Justice Policy

The International Centre for Criminal Law Reform and Criminal Justice Policy is an independent non-profit institute, officially affilated with the United Nations and based at the Faculty of Law, University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. The website contains publications, occasional papers and reports which can be ordered online or downloaded in PDF. The site gives details of the following programmes conducted by the Centre: Corrections Programme; China Programme; Transnational Organised Crime; UN Congress on Crime and International Criminal Court.

Lauterpacht Centre for International Law

Web pages for the Lauterpacht Centre for International Law at the University of Cambridge. The site describes the structure, staffing, work and facilities of the Centre. Information on current projects covers the State Responsibility Project, Corporate Complicity Project, Arms Trade Treaty Project and the Customary International Humanitarian Law Project. The site also provides details of forthcoming events and publications such as the International Environmental Law Reports and the International Law Reports.

Council of Europe Conventions

Online version of the Council of Europe Treaty Series (CETS), formerly 'European Treaty Series' (ETS), and other Council of Europe treaty information. The site provides all the conventions and agreements prepared and negotiated within the institutional framework of the CoE, together with summaries and explanatory reports. It gives information on the preparation and legal status of treaties and the treaty-making process and provides a glossary.

International Website Appendix

A large collection of links to international law materials on the internet, compiled by William Slomanson, Professor of Law at the Thomas Jefferson School of Law, San Diego, California. Links are classified and arranged alphabetically under an extensive topics index. The site constitutes an appendix to the author's book, Fundamental Perspectives on International Law, 5th ed., Thomson, 2006. As well as the links, it provides the table of contents from the book and updates to the text.

Lexadin

An extensive collection of structured links to world legal information resources on the internet, maintained by Lexadin, the legal technology service based in the Netherlands. The guide offers thousands of links to legal sites in more than 40 countries. The links are organised under the following headings, and subdivided by country: law firms, legislation, law schools, courts and cases, articles and organisations. The site offers users the option to suggest other useful resources under its "add a site" button.

University of Western Australia Law Review

Website for an academic refereed law review published by the University of Western Australia Law School since 1948 on an approximately annual basis. The Review considers a broad range of legal topics and issues from an Australian and international perspective. The site provides contents of issues and overviews of articles published from 1993 onwards to date. A cumulative index covers items published from 1982-1992. Notes to authors, a style guide and information about the editorial board, subscriptions and advertising rates are also available.

Web Journal of Current Legal Issues

The Web Journal of Current Legal Issues was the first UK general law journal to be published purely electronically on the web. The award-winning journal contains refereed scholarly articles, comments and case notes and is published bi-monthly by the University of Newcastle upon Tyne. The focus of the journal is on current legal issues in judicial decisions, law reform, legislation, legal research, policy related socio-legal research, legal education, information technology and practice.

Eagle-i Service

Eagle-i is a legal information gateway service developed by the Library at the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies in the School of Advanced Study, University of London. The service aims to identify, classify and publish comprehensive links to substantive materials and legal-interest resources worldwide. The service includes pull down menus and structured link pages that pinpoint resources and offer them by jurisdiction, organisation, and subject topic.
