South Australian Industrial Relations Court Decisions

An AustLII database containing decisions from the South Australian Industrial Relations Court from 1992 onwards. Decisions are in full-text HTML format based on documents selected and supplied by the Court. Decisions can be searched or browsed by case name or date. AustLII, the Australasian Legal Information Institute is a collaborative public service developed by the University of Technology to provide free Internet access to legislation and cases for Australia. Industrial law databases are developed with support from Australian Business Limited.

Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission Decisions (Australia)

A free database containing full-text decisions of Australia's Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission from 1985 to 1999 when the Commission closed. The texts are selected and provided by the Commission and made available in HTML format. Decisions can be searched or browsed by case name or date. The database forms part of AustlII (the Australasian Legal Information Institute) service developed by the University of Technology in Sydney to provide public access to primary legal materials.

Employment Insurance Jurisprudence Library

A searchable database of Canadian insurance jurisprudence including Canadian Umpire Benefits decisions, Federal Court decisions and Supreme Court decisions along with a number of related Provincial Court and Human Rights Tribunal decisions. A collection of the most important decisions can be searched separately. Materials are carried in full-text and presented in HTML format. Help notes on searching the database are provided. The service is made freely available online by the Minister of Public Works and Government Services in Ottawa, Ontario.

Industrial Relations Court of Australia Decisions

A web database, forming part of the AustLII service, containing judgments of the Industrial Relations Court of Australia from 1994 to 2001. This Court has now closed. Cases provided are in HTML format and can be searched and browsed by name or date. AustLII, the Australasian Legal Information Institute has been developed by the University of Technology in Sydney to provide public access to primary legal materials. The database is funded and supported by the Law Foundation of New South Wales.

The British Safety Council

The British Safety Council is concerned with occupational health and safety, working with companies in the UK and worldwide to develop safe systems of work and providing advice to the Health and Safety Executive. The website has information about the organisation's campaigns and details of its training courses. Recent articles from Safety Management magazine are also available.

Quebec Labour Court

A CanLII database presenting all decisions made by Quebec's Labour Tribunal since 2001. Simple and advanced query options are provided to search the collection, supplemented by browsing lists of decisions sorted alphabetically by style of cause and sorted by date of judgment listed by year. CanLII, the Canadian Legal Information Institute, is a key service providing free access to Canadian primary legal materials. The service has been designed by LexUM at the University of Montreal (using software developed by AustLII) on the initiative of the Federation of Law Societies of Canada.

Pacific Maritime Association

The Pacific Maritime Association (PMA) negotiates and administer maritime labour agreements with the International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU). Members consist of American flag operators, foreign flag operators, and stevedore and terminal companies that operate in California, Oregon, and Washington ports. The Association's website provides a Resource Library and information for ILWU Longshore Employees. It also has dispatch summaries, press releases and safety bulletins.

Employment Law Guide

Website of the Employment Law Guide a freely available resource provided by the United States Department of Labor (DOL). The Guide provides information on major statutes and regulations administered by the DOL that affect businesses and workers. The Guide is arranged into sections which include wages and hours worked, health and safety standards, health benefits, retirement and workersã compensation, work authorisation for non-US citizens and federal contracts. Reference is also made to laws relating to the agriculture, construction and mining industries.

Law Donut

The Law Donut web resource provides practical legal information aimed at small businesses. Information on the site is arranged by topic including finding, buying and selling a business, insolvency, trading law, remuneration and pensions, intellectual property and premises. Each section gives an overview to the law in that area along with practical advice and guidance. There is a more detailed section on employment law for small businesses covering issues such as health and safety, discipline and grievance, recruiting and managing staff and employment contracts.

Disease-i

Disease-i is a subscription website provided by Weightmans, a UK-based firm of solicitors. The site is intended for lawyers dealing with disease claims and provides guidance and background information on a range of related issues. The section headed Legal Principles covers the existence of a duty of care, forseeability, causation and contributory negligence. Other legal topics include insurance histories and coverage, limitation and quantum.
