Website of the Swedish Bar Association, the organisation representing Sweden's practising lawyers. The site provides an article giving background information on the legal profession in Sweden and the role and functions of the Bar Association. Rules and regulations governing lawyers can be downloaded from the site including the Charter of the Swedish Bar Association, the Code of Conduct and the Code of Conduct for European Lawyers. A directory of members can be searched by name, firm, location, language and area of law and there is guidance on making a complaint against a member.

An introduction to the legal structure of Tokelau:a collection of primary materials, commentary, and online resources

Online guide explaining the laws and legal system of Tokelau in the South Pacific, a self-administering territory of New Zealand. The guide is by Peter Murgatroyd, Law Librarian at the Emalus Campus Library at the University of the South Pacific. It gives an introduction to Tokelau, information on sources of law and links to Tokelau legislation. There is an outline of the governmental system and government institutions along with details of the relationship Tokelau has with New Zealand.

Constitution of Tonga

Online version of the 1875 Constitution of Tonga (amended up to 1988) on PacLII, the Pacific Islands Legal Information Institute website. PacLII is a joint initiative involving the University of the South Pacific and the Australasian Legal Information Institute.

Pacific Legal Gateway

The Pacific Legal Gateway is a PacLII project providing access to Pacific legal material. Its regional law collections include cases from the High Court of the Western Pacific, an index to Pacific islands cases published in Law Reports of the Commonwealth between 1980 and 2003, other cases from the region, and Western Pacific legislation 1884 to 1925. The gateway also includes several journals, a bibliography of law in the Pacific, details of law-related conferences and networks, links to legal news sources, legal dictionaries and other content.

Website of Public Safety Canada the government department with responsibility for national security, emergency management, law enforcement, corrections, crime prevention and borders and all aspects of public safety in Canada. The work of the department is outlined on the site under the following headings: emergency management; national security; crime prevention; law enforcement policy and corrections policy. These sections are broken down into further subject areas and links are given to relevant legislation, guidance and official publications.

A guide to the Liberian legal system and legal research

Guide to the law and legal materials of Liberia, by Hanatu Kabbah, Director of the Centre for Human Rights and Development (CHRD) in Sierra Leone .Last updated in 2023, it is available on New York University's Globalex website. The author provides an introduction and historical background, then covers governmental, legal and court systems and provides information about the Constitution, legislation, treaties, customary law and legal education. A number of links to Liberian legal materials are also provided.

One Country, Two Systems of Legal Research: a brief guide to finding the law of China's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region

Online guide to the law and legal materials of Hong Kong written by Sergio Stone who is Foreign, Comparative and International Law (FCIL) Librarian at Stanford Law School's Robert Crown Law Library in California and Roy L. Sturgeon Foreign, Comparative, and International Law/Reference Librarian at Tulane University Law School in New Orleans. The guide was published in 2008 (and updated in 2018) on the Globalex website and made freely available by the Hauser Global Law School at the New York University School of Law.

Forced evictions and disability rights in Africa

Online article looking at forced evictions and disability rights in Africa written by Buhle Angelo Dube who is a lecturer at the University of Swaziland's Law Department. The article was published in 2008 (and updated in 2023 by Sibusiso Nhlabatsi) on the Globalex website and made freely available by the Hauser Global Law School Program at the New York University School of Law. The first section explains the background to forced evictions and their impact in Africa and focuses on this practice in Ghana, Swaziland and Botswana.

CMNI Bar Association

Website of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands Bar Association the professional body representing lawyers of the Northern Mariana Islands in the North Pacific. The site provides details of officers and committee chairs, by-laws of the Association and a directory of membersã which can be searched or browsed. The CMNI Bar Association holds an annual mock trial competition for High School students in the Northern Mariana Islands details of which are given for the current and previous years. A page of related web links is also provided.
