Thailand Law Forum

The Thailand Law Forum (TLF) was founded in 1997 by American and Thai law professors to provide Thai legal information in English. The website includes the bi-annual Thailand Law Journal, translations of legislation - including codes - and summaries of Supreme Court opinions from 2005 to 2009. Contact details of a selection of Thai law firms and legal news stories are also available. The site is maintained by Thai law firm, Chaninat & Leeds.

The guide was published in 2008 (and updated in 2024) on the Globalex website and made freely available by the Hauser Global Law School Program at the New York University School of Law. The author provides an outline of the Thai legal system covering the legislative, executive and judicial branches of government.

Website of Italian law firm, Tedioli. The firm is based in Mantova and specialises in agricultural, commercial, corporate, civil, family and insolvency law and arbitration. As well as information on Tedioli's staff and services, the site provides a collection of articles covering the various practice areas, in Italian and/or English.

European Space Policy Institute

The European Space Policy Institute (ESPI) is a think-tank established by the European Space Agency (ESA) and the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG) in 2003. Its website provides reports, articles, briefings, the ESPI Yearbook and other publications. There is also events information, news and information about the Institute's educational activities.

Charter of the United Nations

This site provides free access to the official charter of the United Nations.The Charter of the United Nations was signed on 26 June 1945, in San Francisco, at the conclusion of the United Nations Conference on International Organization, and came into force on 24 October 1945. The Statute of the International Court of Justice is an integral part of the Charter.It sets out the purpose, main organs and role of the United Nations. The website also offers a history of the charter and details about amendments and signatories.

European Union: a guide to tracing working documents

Online guide to researching the working documents (travaux préparatoires) of the European Union, by Patrick Overy of the University of Exeter. The guide is on New York University's Globalex website and is updated periodically (most recently in 2025). The author provides information about the availability of documentation from the Inter-Governmental Conferences (IGCs); guidance on the different types of working documents produced by the European Commission, the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union; and information about where to find documents.

Lebanese legal system and research

Online guide to researching the Lebanese legal system written by Firas El Samad who is a Partner at the Egyptian law firm Shalakany. The guide was published in 2008 (and updated in 2025 by Lara Eid Jreissati) on the Globalex website and made freely available by the Hauser Global Law School at the New York University School of Law. The author provides background information to Lebanon and to the Lebanese legal system. There is a section on the Constitution and on the roles and responsibilities of the executive, legislative and judicial branches of government.

Scottish legal history: a research guide

Online guide to Scottish legal history, from the feudal period to 1901, written by Yasmin Morais who is Cataloging Librarian at the Mason Law Library, University of the District of Columbia. The guide was published in 2008 (and updated in 2017) on the Globalex website and made freely available by the Hauser Global Law School at the New York University School of Law. The guide gives an introduction to the development of the court system and the establishment of the early Scottish parliament.

English Reports

A CommonLII database providing free access to the English Reports, a collection of the most important cases reported between 1220 and 1873. Decisions can be searched or browsed by case name or date and downloaded in PDF format. Data has been supplied by online legal publisher, Justis. The Commonwealth Legal Information Institute (CommonLII) is a collaborative service providing free access to primary legal materials from Commonwealth and common law countries and territories.

LawCite

LawCite is an international case citator developed by AustLII, the Australasian Legal Information Institute. It is a searchable index to millions of cases, journal articles and law reform reports. The main focus is on common law jurisdictions, including numerous Commonwealth countries, Ireland, the United States and Hong Kong. Links to the full text are given, where available. Cases can be searched by citation, parties, court, jurisdiction and date; journal articles can be searched by keywords in the title and author.
