Guide to India's legal research and legal system

Online guide to legal research in India written by Dr. R.K. Shrivastava who is Chief Librarian at the Supreme Court of India in New Delhi. The guide was published in 2008 (and updated in 2014) on the Globalex website and made freely available by the Hauser Global Law School Program at the New York University School of Law. The introduction provides historical information about Indiaãs legal system and the guide goes on to present sections dealing with the Constitution, Supreme Court, the Judiciary, legal profession and legal education.

Global Land Tool Network

The Global Land Tool Network (GLTN) is an initiative of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-HABITAT), the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida), the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the World Bank. It seeks to alleviate poverty through land reform, improved land management and security of tenure. The website describes GLTN's work regarding land rights, records and registration; land use planning; land management, administration and information; land law and enforcement; land value taxation and legislation.

Research Committee on Sociology of Law

The Research Committee on Sociology of Law (RCSL) is an organ of the International Sociological Association (ISA). The site is a blog covering its activities of the RCSL and those of the International Institute for the Sociology of Law (IISL), including conferences and meetings. Current and past issues of the RCSL newsletter are available and there are links to socio-legal associations, research bodies and journals.

International Legal Assistance Consortium

Legacy website of the International Legal Assistance Consortium (ILAC), a rule of law NGO that was active from 2002 to 2025. An umbrella organisation of bar associations, law societies, individuals and other associations of legal and human rights experts, ILAC was concerned with the rebuilding of legal systems in post-conflict societies. Its website is being maintained as a repository for its research: reports, rule of law assessments, policy briefings and discussion papers.

Yearbook of the United Nations

The Yearbook of the United Nations records the work of the United Nations, covering all areas of its responsibility. Each Yearbook lists all major General Assembly, Security Council and Economic and Social Council resolutions. It also contains information on major UN decisions, lists of key personnel and appointments, details of budgets and key UN reforms. The website provides all volumes, 1946-2006. A single volume can be selected from a drop-down menu. There is also a search facility which can search either the entire series or shorter date-ranges.

Corporate Affairs and Intellectual Property Office Legislation

This web page provides a list of the legislation administered by the Barbados Corporate Affairs and Intellectual Property Office (CAIPO). CAIPO is the government department with responsibility for the registration and incorporation of companies and the registration of patents, trade marks, industrial designs and other intellectual property rights. Legislation is grouped under the following headings: general; corporate affairs; intellectual property and conventions. There is a summary of each law and some of these have a link to the full text.

Amsterdam Law Forum

The Amsterdam Law Forum is an open access journal produced by the Law Faculty at VU University in Amsterdam. The journal is published quarterly and contains articles on contemporary international, European and comparative law, scientific papers and book reviews.
