World Legal Information Institute Catalog : Eastern Europe

This website is part of the World Legal Information Institute's directory of law sites. Under each country, links are groups by category (e.g. for courts and case law, government, legislation); there are also more detailed subject headings, such as Banking and Finance Law, which vary from country to country. It is also possible to search the whole Eastern European section. The site is in English.

International Space Law

This section of the UN Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) website provides access to legal materials and background documents about international space law. These include treaties (bilateral and multilateral); General Assembly resolutions; a database of national laws and official documents relating to outer space (including a directory of space law courses, 'Educational opportunities in space law'); and studies by UNOOSA.

Bankruptcy Court Directory

Web page providing a list of links to United States Bankruptcy Court websites. The US federal districts each have a bankruptcy court and many of the websites linked to here provide access to their decisions and bankruptcy rules. The list is compiled by US publisher BankruptcyData.com and made freely available on their website.

Archive of European Integration

The Archive of European Integration (AEI), maintained by the University of Pittsburgh, is an online repository of documents relating to the development of the European Union. It consists of EU official documents, such as green and white papers, treaties and reports, and other material, such as conference papers, working papers and journal articles. The Archive can be searched by keyword, or browsed by topic, year, or document number.

Iran Law

Iran Law is a guide to Iranian legal material online, part of the independent portal, Pars Times. It covers the Iranian Constitution, legislation, the courts and the government. It also provides links to research guides, articles, news and other information. Some of the sources linked to are only available in Persian.

Advicenow

The Advicenow resource guide brings together information and tools on matters relating to the law and civil rights in England and Wales. Information is available on topics including benefits, debt, employment, families, going to court, health and social care, housing and homelessness and immigration. Self-help tools are provided to assist with writing letters relating to benefits and there are details of training courses and workshops to help people dealing with common legal problems. Advicenow's research publications and reports are also available.

CorporateProBono.org

CorporateProBono.org (CPBO) is produced jointly by the Association of Corporate Counsel and the Pro Bono Institute at the Georgetown University Law Center (PBI). It keeps in-house counsel informed about volunteer opportunities and provides free access to pro bono resources, news items, a directory of mentors and pro bono projects. The CPBO resource library provides full-text articles, policies and training materials, best practice profiles of current corporate pro bono programmes and surveys of in-house legal departments.

Lawbore

Lawbore is a portal for undergraduate law students, provided by City Law School, London. It covers core study topics as well as elective subjects, providing links and articles for each. There is a set of multimedia law tutorials, a blog and a legal design showcase. Other sections cover legal gateways, research tools, careers information, legal careers and legal news.

World Trade Organization

WTO research guide compiled by the Peace Palace Library at The Hague. Gives a brief introduction to the WTO, a bibliography and links to blogs and other web resources. Also mentions relevant databases. The guide is primarily intended for users of the Peace Palace Library, so it focuses on print and online material available at the Library; however, the information is also of interest to other researchers. The guide is in English.

Landlord Law

Landlord Law is an subscription-based online resource produced by Tessa Shepperson, a specialist solicitor based in Norwich. It has sections for landlords and tenants with information about tenancy agreements, rent arrears and eviction; there are also links to housing cases and legislation. Free content includes feature articles on specific aspects of landlord and tenant law, a questions and answers page, news stories, book reviews and Law Commission documents focusing on housing law reform.
