The guide was published in 2014 and updated in 2024 and gives background information about the United Arab Emirates, an outline of its legal system, summary of the influence of Sharia law in the UAE, and highlights the main provisions of the Constitution. The authors provide a description of how laws are made and links are given for a selection of laws (mostly in Arabic).
