Globelaw

The Globelaw website provides resources concerning international environmental law and transnational litigation. It is run by the international and environmental law practitioner Duncan Currie and features papers, articles and presentations by him, together with a few cases and links to treaties and other materials on the web. The site includes introductions to subjects including oceans, climate, biodiversity and biosafety and nuclear power.

British Employment Law

Internet site dedicated to UK employment law materials and matters, developed by DiscLaw Publishing Ltd and designed for employers, employees, lawyers and other professionals. The site is divided into a professional area with chargeable password access providing indexed and annotated copies of relevant legislation, forms and commentary by employment law experts and a free area with extracts from and index to the full service. The free section also features a service for locating UK solicitors with employment law expertise.

Infolaw

The Infolaw service, produced by legal publishing consultant Nick Holmes, provides a gateway to the UK legal web. The 'Lawfinder' section provides free access to legal resources by subject or by jurisdiction, and a directory of legal services and links to law blogs. The site also sells precedents and provides Continuing Professional Development for practitioners, for a fee.

Guide to Law Online

The Guide to Law Online, developed by the Law Library of Congress in the US, is a global directory of websites concerned with law and government. It focuses on sites of interest to legal researchers and provides links and some annotations. The guide is arranged by jurisdiction under four main headings: International, US Federal, US States and Territories and Nations (of the world - Afghanistan to Zimbabwe).

American Legal Ethics Library

The American Legal Ethics Library has been developed by Cornell Law School's Legal Information Institute, and is now under the editorial leadership of W. Bradley Wendel, Associate Professor of Law at Cornell. This digital library contains the US codes or rules setting standards for the professional conduct of lawyers and commentary on the law governing lawyers, organized on a state by state basis. Contributions are by both practising and academic lawyers.

ASIL Guide To Electronic Resources for International Law

A web guide comprising structured compilations of links to international law resources on the Internet. The guide is developed by the American Society of International Law. Web resources are the major focus, but coverage includes other electronic formats, such as online services, as appropriate. Also, comparisons to printed resources are made as necessary, either to explain better the advantages or disadvantages of a particular electronic resource, or to indicate that certain types of information are not yet available in an electronic format.

rightsnet

The rightsnet website is designed to provide up to date welfare rights information and news for advice workers. It is managed by lasa (London Advice Services Alliance) [q.v.]. The site provides a news section, training, policy news, an email discussion group and summaries of the latest welfare benefit and tax credit case law from the Administrative Appeals Chamber of the Upper Tribunal for subscribers.The Toolkit facility of the site provides links to sites offering legislation, case law, current benefit rates and factsheets.

Centre for Public Legal Education Alberta

The Centre for Public Legal Education Alberta (CPLEA) is an electronic service that brings together people, information and educational resources on Canadian justice and legal issues. It is available in English and French, with a special section for Alberta. The site has links to official sources of Canadian legislative materials including statutes, bills and case law. It also offers a resource centre including educational materials for the classroom and access to legal newspapers, and other reference and publicly available information.
