Website of the Tokyo Bar Association (also known as 'Toben') the largest local bar association in Japan. The site gives information about the work of the association and its committees. There is background information on how to qualify as a Bengoshi (Japanese barrister) and how foreign lawyers can practice in Japan. The site includes a glossary of terms relating to the Japanese legal profession and can be viewed in English and Japanese.

Commonwealth Association of Law Reform Agencies

Website of the Commonwealth Association of Law Reform Agencies (CALRAs) an organisation set up in 2005 to encourage international cooperation in law reform. The site has background and historical information about CALRAs, details of its aims and objectives and a copy of the organisation's founding constitution. Information about CALRAs' inaugural conference is also provided online along with details of the Executive Committee and membership information.

Bar Association for Local Government and the Public Service

Website of the Bar Association for Local Government and the Public Service (BALGPS) a membership organisation for barristers employed in local government and the public sector. The site has information about the Association including details of the Executive Committee and BALGPS newsletters which are produced on an occasional basis. There is advice on the work available for barristers looking for a career in local government and articles and briefing notes written by the Chairman of BALGPS. The site includes a page of related web links.

Planning and Environment Bar Association

Website of the Planning and Environment Bar Association (PEBA) whose members are barristers specialising in "planning, environment, compulsory purchase, highways, housing, rating and other aspects of local government and administrative law". The site gives information on the work of PEBA and includes a full-text (PDF) copy of the PEBA Handbook. Details of pro bono work carried out by PEBA members is also provided. Contact details for chambers and barristers who are members of PEBA can be searched or browsed on the site.

Indonesian Legal Aid Foundation

Website of the Indonesian Legal Aid Foundation (YLBHI) an organisation whose aim is to provide legal assistance to deprived people in Indonesia and to campaign for "social justice, human rights and democratic values". The site gives information about the YLBHI detailing its work and activities in post-Suharto Indonesia including case advocacy, development of people's legal resources and policy research. The site can be viewed in English or Indonesian.

Guam Bar Association

Website of the Guam Bar Association- the organisation with responsibility for regulating the practice of law in Guam. The site gives details of officers and committees of the Bar and there is a searchable directory of members and lawyer referral service. Rules and by-laws of the Guam Bar can be viewed in full on the site along with links to other Guam legal websites.

American Society of Writers on Legal Subjects

Website of Scribes (the American Society of Writers on Legal Subjects) which describes itself as a "national society of judges, lawyers, law professors, legal publishers, legal writers, and legal editors who are dedicated to improving legal writing across the profession". The site gives information on the history and activities of Scribes, contact details for officers of the Society, committees and an online copy of the constitution.

Law Society of Fiji

Website of the Fiji Law Society (FLS) the organisation with responsibility for representing and regulating the legal profession in Fiji. The site gives information about the FLS including profiles of Council members, a directory of members and disciplinary decisions. The Society's monthly newsletter, including legislative updates and court dates, can be viewed on the site in PDF. Links to Fiji legislation on PacLII (the Pacific Legal Information Institute) are also given.

Czech Bar Association

Website of the Czech Bar Association, the organisation with responsibility for representing and regulating the legal profession in the Czech Republic. The site provides information on the structure of the Association and advice on becoming a lawyer in the Czech Republic. Legislation regulating the legal profession is provided on the site in full-text as a searchable document. A directory of members can be searched by name, town, speciality or language. The site is available in Czech, English, French, German and Russian.

Council of European Energy Regulators

Website of the Council of European Energy Regulators (CEER). The site has organisational information and details of members. Publications including papers, newsletters and factsheets are made freely available on the site. National reports include information from the national regulatory authorities from each EU country. Information on the preparation of framework guidelines for gas and electricity is also given.
