Den norske Helsingforskomite

The Norwegian Helsinki Committee is a member of the International Helsinki Federation for Human Rights and works to promote democracy and human rights within Europe. Its primary activites include the monitoring of parliamentary elections within the OSCE (Office for Security of Central Europe). The website includes the full-text of the Helsinki Committee's reports on parliamentary elections since 1995. These include reports from Albania, Romania, the former Yugoslavia and nations of the former Soviet Union. The text is available in Norwegian or English.

National Human Rights Commission of Nepal

Website of the National Human Rights Commission of Nepal, an independent, autonomous statutory body established in 2000. Full-text reports, papers and speeches can be viewed on the site; other documentation includes press releases and news items contained in the Commission's e-bulletin. A copy of the Human Rights Commission Act, 2053 (1997) can also be viewed on the site. The site is in English and Nepali but some of the materials are available in Nepali only.

Society of Advocates of Namibia

Website of the Society of Advocates of Namibia (Namibian Bar) the organisation representing members of the legal profession in Namibia. The site has information on the history and purpose of the Bar. There is background information on the Namibian legal system and the work of advocates in Namibia. The site also has a directory of members and a selection of summaries of decisions from the Namibia High Court.

Legal Assistance Centre

Website of the Legal Assistance Centre (LAC) which is based in Namibia and describes itself as a "public interest law centre that is committed to creating a human rights culture and promoting access to justice in Namibia". Work at the Centre includes litigation and advice, training, research and advocacy. There is information on LAC's project work which includes the AIDS Law Unit, Medical Negligence, Gender Research and Advocacy, the Human Rights and Constitutional Unit, the Child Justice Project and the Land, Environment and Development Project.

National Human Rights Commission of Mongolia

Website of the National Human Rights Commission of Mongolia (NHRCM) an organisation concerned with the promotion and protection of human rights in Mongolia. The site has background information about the Commission including an organisation chart and details of commissioners, staff and international partners of the NHRCM. There is also information on the work and activities of the Commission which includes education, research and hearing complaints regarding human rights violations. Annual full text (PDF) reports on the state of human rights and freedoms in Mongolia are also made available.

Liechtensteinischen Rechtsanwaltskammer

The Liechtenstein Chamber of Lawyers is the organisation responsible for representing and regulating the legal profession in Liechtenstein. The website gives information on becoming a lawyer in Liechtenstein and includes a full-text copy of the Professional Guidelines of the Liechtenstein Chamber of Lawyers. There is a directory of Liechtenstein lawyers which gives contact details and links to lawyer Websites.

Asian African Legal Consultative Organisation

The Asian African Legal Consultative Organisation (AALCO) is an advisory body on international law and a legal forum for African and Asian states. Based in India, it was established in 1956 under the name Asian Legal Consultative Committee. The website describes the constitution, aims and work of the Organisation. AALCO publications are available, including reports of its meetings, the AALCO Quarterly Bulletin and a number of essays on international law.

Pan European Organisation of Personal Injury Lawyers

Website of the Pan European Organisation of Personal Injury Lawyers (PEOPIL), a not-for-profit organisation founded in 1996 and supported by the European Union. The stated aim of PEOPIL is to "improve and promote judicial cooperation and mutual knowledge of legal and judicial systems of European jurisdictions in the field of personal injury law". The site provides information about the organisation, including sub-groups, publications, future events and a searchable list of members.
