TheyWorkForYou.com is maintained by a group of volunteers in order for members of the public to be able to easily access information about the work and parliamentary activity of their local MP. It offers a searchable database of Hansard parliamentary debates. Users may enter a postcode or MPs name to retrieve all speeches and questions by him or her from 1988 to date. Information is taken from Hansard. Other features of the site include news of recent important debates and a glossary of parliamentary terms.

Equal Rights Trust

Website of the Equal Rights Trust (ERT) an international advocacy organisation based in London. The work of the ERT includes human rights advocacy, documentation of abuses, legal and policy research and consultation and training. The site gives free access to the ERT’s Virtual Library on Equality which provides materials on non-discrimination and equality, including case law, policy papers, academic and other articles and ERT publications. Other features include the Equal Rights Review and a Declaration of Principles on Equality.

The site aims to be a gateway to information concerning issues of human rights and sustainable development. One World is an international network of cooperative centres governed by the OneWorld International Foundation. The site includes news, special reports, details of campaigns, analysis, photographs, etc.

ACI Europe

The ACI is a non-profit organisation of airport operators that aims to represent their interests. Their European region site has details of conferences, news releases and policy statements on matters such as air passenger rights, environmental issues, airport charges and security. There is also an airports database, although advanced search is restricted to ACI members. The site is in English.

NEAR - Network for Education and Academic Rights

The website of the Network for Education and Academic Rights (NEAR) a non-governmental organisation concerned with the promotion of academic freedom and/or human rights in education. NEAR was established in June 2001 and is supported by UNESCO. The site includes information about the organisation, an alerting and archiving service, a notice board, and links to other related websites.

Comité Maritime International

Comité Maritime International (CMI) is an international non-governmental organisation established in 1897 to promote the unification of maritime law. Its website explains the history, structure and development of CMI and makes available its constitution and rules of procedure. A collection of jurisprudence on international maritime conventions is provided. Other online texts include the Rotterdam Rules, their travaux préparatoires and associated information; the York-Antwerp Rules; the CMI Uniform Rules for Sea Waybills ;and the CMI Rules for Electronic Bills of Lading.

IEMA

The Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA) is a non-profit organisation which promotes best practice standards in environmental management, auditing and assessment. It is the UK competent body responsible for administering the European Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS). The site provides information on corporate membership, professional qualifications, certified training courses and regional activities. IEMA publications can be bought online.

Physicians for Human Rights

Website of Physicians for Human Rights (PHR) the international organisation which mobilises health professions and promotes the right to health for all. The site has background and organisational information about PHR and details of their campaigning work in the following areas: Darfur survival; health action AIDS; health and justice for youth; campaign against torture and the campaign to ban landmines. There is also information on their International Forensic Program which uses medical and scientific methods to investigate and expose violations of human rights.

Human Rights in China

Website of the human rights advocacy organisation, Human Rights in China (HRIC), an international non-governmental organisation. Founded by Chinese scholars and scientists in 1989 and based in New York, HRIC works to promote a better knowledge and advocacy of human rights within the People's Republic of China. The site has information on HRIC's work covering legal reform, technology and human rights and ethical globalisation including articles, resources and news briefings.
