Gobierno de Canarias

Official website of the government of the Canary Islands. It provides a gateway to government press releases, factual information about the region and its relations with Spain and a directory of links to government departments online. Also accessible are full-text legislation, government policy documents and the official Bulletin from 1980 onwards. All information is in Spanish only.

Falkland Islands Government

Official website of the Falkland Islands Government. The Falklands are an overseas territory of the United Kingdom with an elected government and a Governor who exercises executive authority on behalf of the UK Government. The site outlines the system of government in the Falklands and provides background information on the history, economy, business and environment of the Islands. The site includes news items, information on the Legislative Assembly and a page of related web links.

Intellectual Property Office of Singapore

Official Website of the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS). The site provides information about the work of IPOS including details of services, events, news items and patent and trademark statistics. Detailed background information on intellectual property in Singapore is given covering patents, trademarks, copyright issues, registered designs and plant varieties protection. There are legislative updates highlighting key legal developments for the years from 1997 onwards.

Chancellor of Justice of the Republic of Estonia

Official Website of the Estonian Chancellor of Justice whose role is to guarantee the constitutional rights and freedoms of individuals and to ensure legislation conforms with the Constitution of Estonia. The site explains the work of the Legal Chancellor and includes a PDF copy of the Annual Report of the Legal Chancellor which provides a more in-depth look at work and activities undertaken. The site has a search engine and can be viewed in Estonian, English and Russian.

Official website of the Djibouti government. The site has background information about Djibouti including the history, geography, politics and economy of the country. There is an outline of the system of government, details of government members and information on the role of institutions such as the National Assembly and the Constitutional Council. Minutes of meetings of the Council of Ministers are given along with a profile of the President and text of his speeches.

Activities of the European Union: Energy

This section of the EU's Europa website gives a concise overview of EU energy policy and acts as a gateway to relevant information and documentation on EU websites. There are links to the European Commission's Energy and Transport Directorate-General, the European Parliament's Committee on Industry, Research and Energy, the Transport, Telecommunications and Energy Council's press releases and other web pages of interest. Legislation, statistics, press releases, the General Report on the Activities of the European Union and other publications are available.

Czech judicial system

Official web portal of the Czech judicial system which provides information on the various judicial institutions of the Czech Republic including the Ministry of Justice, the courts, the Prosecutors' Offices, Prison Service, Probation and Mediation service, Judicial Academy and the Institute for Criminology and Social Prevention. An outline of judicial power in the Czech Republic and the role of the Ministry of Justice are provided in English. Information relating to the other organisations is available in Czech only.

Energy - European Commission

Webpages of the European Commission's Directorate-General for Energy, providing information relating to energy policy in the European Union (EU), including statistics and reports, press releases and the Directorate-General's newsletter, "Energy and Transport in Europe Digest" (2002 to date). Details of priced publications are also given. There are links to policy consultations and calls for tenders. Other sections include information and legislation relating to specific energy sources such as coal, oil and gas.

Official Website of the Croatian Parliament. The site provides background, history and information on the role of Parliament in Croatia. There is a profile of the Speaker, details of parliamentary committees and a list of MPs. Key legislation is provided on the site in full-text in HTML and PDF. This includes a copy of the Constitution, legislation governing the Constitutional Court and the Parliament and the law concerning the rights of minorities. The site can be viewed in English or Croatian.
