An innovative directory of academics and researchers which is being developed by a team headed by Dr Richard Price of All Souls College, Oxford. It intends to provide free access to a database of information about academic researchers and departments in colleges worldwide. Individual records include research interests and information on projects. It is possible to search by department or research interests. The site was launched in 2008 and relies heavily on self registration, therefore users should be aware that information may not be comprehensive.

Internet Law Treatise

Website of the Internet Law Treatise, a collaborative online project looking at the law relating to the internet. The project is no longer active, but the site remains available for historical purposes. The ILT initiative involved attorneys and law students and is hosted by the Electronic Frontier Foundation, a membership organisation concerned with the civil liberties issues surrounding technology.

Global Network Initiative

Website of the Global Network Initiative, a coalition of ICT companies, human rights organisations, academics, investors and technology leaders whose purpose is to protect and advance freedom of expression and privacy in the ICT sector. The site has documents describing the Initiativeãs principles (based on existing international laws) and providing guidance for ICT companies on putting these principles into practice. A selection of FAQs provides further information on the Initiative and its work.

United Nations Audiovisual Library of International Law: Historic Archives

Website of the Historic Archives section of the United Nations Audiovisual Library of International Law. The Library is a free online multimedia resource of the United Nations Office of Legal Affairs. The Historic Archives collection focuses on key legal instruments covering a wide range of international law topics including criminal law, disarmament, environmental law, human rights, international economic law, law of outer space and the law of the sea.

United Nations Audiovisual Library of International Law: Lecture Series

Website of the Lecture Series section of the United Nations Audiovisual Library of International Law. The Library is a free online multimedia resource of the United Nations Office of Legal Affairs. The Lecture Series is a collection of video lectures given by given by leading international law scholars and practitioners. The lectures are arranged by subject including human rights, cultural heritage, development, international organisations, peace and security, courts and tribunals and the Arctic. A selection of related documents and profiles of the lecturers are also given on the site.

Legislation of the Northwest Territories

The website of the Department of Justice in the Canadian Northwest Territories provides consolidated primary and secondary legislation, updated monthly. Basic and advanced search facilities are available, or users can browse the legislation by title (under "Alphabetical Search"). The Northwest Territories Rules of Court and the Northwest Territories Gazette (2006 - ) can be found via the same web page. The website has an English and a French version and all the documents provided are bilingual.

Research guide to the legal system of the Peoples' Republic of Bangladesh

Online guide to the legal system and legal materials of Bangladesh written by Omar Sial who is a partner at law firm  Omar Sial & Associates and published in 2008 on the Globalex website. The guide was updated by  Mohammad Ershadul Karimand, Senior Lecturer in Law at the University of Malaya, in 2023. The guide presents background information on Bangladesh and an outline of the governmental and court systems.

Guide to India's legal research and legal system

Online guide to legal research in India written by Dr. R.K. Shrivastava who is Chief Librarian at the Supreme Court of India in New Delhi. The guide was published in 2008 (and updated in 2014) on the Globalex website and made freely available by the Hauser Global Law School Program at the New York University School of Law. The introduction provides historical information about Indiaãs legal system and the guide goes on to present sections dealing with the Constitution, Supreme Court, the Judiciary, legal profession and legal education.

Land rights in Africa

The Land rights in Africa page forms part of the Oxfam website providing information and documentation on Oxfam's work relating to policy and land law in African countries. The aim of Oxfam and other NGOs is to help communities become more aware of their rights. There is a statement of Oxfam's principles relating to justice and equality, access to land and security of tenure. Working papers and discussion documents are arranged under the following headings: Africa general; West Africa; East Africa; Horn of Africa and Southern Africa.
