Copyright Renewal Database

Website providing access to Stanford University's Copyright Renewal Database containing copyright renewal records for books published in the United States between 1923 and 1963. During this period renewal registration was required to prevent the expiration of copyright. The records are held by the US Copyright Office and have been included in this searchable, browsable database. Records can be browsed by year, title or author and searched by keyword or using an advanced search option.

Legal Information Preservation Alliance

Website of the Legal Information Preservation Alliance (LIPA) an independent organisation of US law libraries concerned with the preservation of printed and electronic legal information. The site gives background information about LIPA including details of member libraries, committee members, news, meetings and reports. There are links given to other digital preservation initiatives, metadata resources, print repositories and copyright materials.

International Journal of Cyber Criminology

Website of the International Journal of Cyber Criminology (IJCC), a peer reviewed, interdisciplinary journal focusing on "cyber crime, cyber criminal behavior, cyber victims, cyber laws and cyber investigations". The journal is published twice a year by the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice at the Manonmaniam Sundaranar University in India. The IJCC is made freely available online in full text (PDF) and is included in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ).

Music Law Updates

Music Law Updates provides news and information on legal developments in intellectual property law relevant to the music and entertainment industries. The resource is produced by Ben Challis, a UK entertainment law specialist. The site also has articles by Challis and others, together with a guide to music business contracts and a set of links to relevant websites.

UK Music

UK Music is a research and lobby group representing music creators and publishers. The Policy section of its website includes information about copyright reviews, including UK Music's submissions to government consultations, and an overview of the Live Music Act 2012.

The journal focuses on "tort theory and jurisprudence from a range of interdisciplinary perspectives" and is published twice a year. Recent articles have examined insurance class actions, tort law research and the law of accidents. Issues are provided online from December 2006 onwards. Abstracts and suggested citations are made freely available on the site.

Website of the online journal, Studies in Ethics, Law and Technology published by Berkeley Electronic Press (bepress) an academic publisher whose aim is to produce rapidly reviewed, high-quality journals. This journal focuses on the "ethical and legal issues that arise from emerging technologies" and is published three times a year. Recent articles have looked at electronic health records, ethical aspects of road deaths and robotic weapons systems. There is also a special issue on the ethical issues surrounding human enhancement.

Law and Ethics of Human Rights

Law and Ethics of Human Rights is an annual journal published by academic publisher Berkeley Electronic Press (bepress). Each issue focuses on a particular human rights theme. Abstracts are available on the website; full-text articles are available by subscription or by registering to use the guest access facility.
