Insolvency Lawyers Association

Website of the Insolvency Lawyers Association (ILA), a special interest group promoting the role of insolvency lawyers and providing information and a forum for lawyers practising insolvency law. Publicly accessible parts of the site have organisational information, the names of council and committee members, articles of association and details of forthcoming events. A directory of members can be browsed by name or region. There is a page of related web links and details on how to join. The rest of the site is restricted to members only.

International Insolvency Institute

Website of the International Insolvency Institute, a non-profit organisation whose members include insolvency practitioners, judges and academics. The aim of the III is to promote insolvency as a discipline, improve international cooperation and provide access to insolvency related materials. The site includes organisational information, details of committees and events and a members' directory. A collection of international insolvency resources includes information on and links to international treaties, co-operation initiatives and professional association projects.

Statute Law Society

The Statute Law Society is a charitable organisation founded in 1968 with the aim of informing the public and the legal profession about the legislative process and fostering improvements in statute law. The Society organises conferences and lectures and publishes the Statute Law Review in association with Oxford University Press; there is a link to the journal on the OUP website. Information about forthcoming events, membership details and a page of related web links are also provided.

Royal Court of Justice of Bhutan

Official website of the Bhutan judiciary and Royal Court of Justice. The site provides information on the structure of the courts in Bhutan and an outline of the legal system. There are sections covering court procedures, judicial reforms and the appointment of judges. Legislation relevant to the courts is provided in full text on the site including the Civil and Criminal Procedure Code, the Penal Code, the Evidence Act of Bhutan and the Judicial Service Act.

Constitution of Bhutan

Electronic copy of the 2008 Constitution of Bhutan made freely available online by the Comparative Constitutions Project at the University of Texas at Austin. The Constitution has sections on citizenship and the rights and duties of citizens. There are also articles on the role of the monarchy, an outline of the governmental system and the functions of various other official bodies.

The laws of Bhutan are available here on the AsianLII (Asian Legal Information Institute) website. Laws can be browsed alphabetically by title, or by date. AsianLII is a cooperative legal information initiative led by AustLII (the Australasian Legal Information Institute) providing access to freely available legal materials from all 27 countries and territories in Asia.

Tasmanian Bar

Website of the Tasmanian Bar a professional association of independent barristers based in Tasmania and a constituent member of the Australian Bar Association. The site provides profiles and contact details for members of the Bar and there are links to Tasmanian legal resources including legislation, courts and tribunals, judgements and court lists for the Supreme Court of Tasmania and the Magistrates Court. A page of related web links is also given.

Supreme Court of Tasmania

Official website of the Supreme Court of Tasmania. The site has details of the judges and a history of the Court. Judgements are linked to on AustLII (Australasian Legal Information Institute) and sentences of the court, for the last month, are provided on the site. Unreported judgements pre-1985 are in the process of being added to the site in full text. There is guidance for people attending court and details of organisations providing legal advice.

Government of Tasmania

Website of the Tasmanian Government providing gateway access to Tasmanian government departments and services. These include links to the websites of the Premier, the Cabinet and the Tasmanian Parliament. There is general information about the state including tourism, news, maps and directories and sites focusing on business and investment. Government press releases can be searched or browsed and there is a comprehensive listing of Tasmanian government and community sites arranged by subject.

Center on Law and Security

Website of the Center on Law and Security a think tank based at the New York University School of Law which brings together academics, practitioners and policymakers in the fields of law and security. The site has organisational information, profiles of faculty and staff and details of courses and publications of the Center.
