There is background information about the Bar and a list of its committees and members. The directory of members can be searched by name and town and law firms can be browsed by location. There is also a list of advocates who have been temporarily suspended. The site can be viewed in English, Slovak and German.

Industrial Property Office of the Slovak Republic

The Industrial Property Office of the Slovak Republic is the official body with responsibility for industrial property protection covering inventions, industrial designs and trademarks in Slovakia. The site has sections devoted to the various types of industrial property including patents, utility models, designs, topographies of semiconductor products and trademarks. Each section has background information, legislation, guidance for applicants and a link to the relevant database.

Constitutional Court of the Slovak Republic

Official website of the Constitutional Court of the Slovak Republic which is the independent judicial body set up to protect constitutionality. The site has a copy of the Slovak Constitution and other relevant laws. Profiles of the justices of the Court are given along with details of international activities carried out by the Court from 2001 onwards including scheduled events for the current year. Findings and rulings of the Court from 1993 to 2003 are given in full in Slovak and as summaries in English, German and Russian. There is a page of web links to other constitutional courts.

National Council of the Slovak Republic

Official website of the National Council of the Slovak Republic described on the site as the "sole constitutional and legislative body of the Slovak Republic". The National Council is an elected body with legislative, domestic and foreign policy powers, the power of scrutiny and the power to create state bodies. The site gives information on the background, history and organisation of the National Council. There is information on the status and powers of Members of Parliament along with MPs contact details and a biography of the Speaker.

Carr Center for Human Rights Policy

Website of the Carr Center for Human Rights Policy, founded in 1999 and based at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. A large collection of the Center's publications is available on the website for free, including research reports, conference reports and articles. Information is also provided about events and courses and there are profiles of the research fellows and staff.

Opinio Juris

Opinio Juris is a blog devoted to international law and international relations. Its posts seek 'to describe and analyse international law where it is most controversial and ambiguous.' It was established in 2005 by Chris Borgen of St. John's University Law School, Peggy McGuinness of the University of Missouri Law School and Julian Ku of Hofstra Law School; since 2018 it has been run in partnership with the International Commission of Jurists. The blog can be browsed by region or by topic. 

Scottish Competition Law Forum

The Scottish Competition Law Forum (SCLF) is an online discussion site whose aim is to encourage debate on competition law and policy in Scotland. The SCLF was established by Gordon Downie a partner in commercial law firm, Shepherd and Wedderburn. Users of the site are required to register before they can post or reply to messages.

Trusts Discussion Forum

Website of the Trusts Discussion Forum a moderated mailing list aimed at legal practitioners concerned with the "drafting and administration of trusts, wills and other private client issues including taxation." It is administered by STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) but is open to non-members. The message archive can be browsed by subject or in date order and the site search engine enables messages to be searched by keyword or date. Free registration is required to post messages on the site and to receive postings by email.

Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners

Website of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) a professional body for practitioners in the field of in trusts and estates, executorship and related areas. The site has membership information about STEP (including a searchable online directory) and details of conferences, committees and events. There is information on STEP publications including journals, accounts and pamphlets. Articles and guides to trusts and wills can be downloaded from the site. Details are also given on courses offered by STEP for CPD. Parts of the site are restricted to members.

World Jurist Association

The World Jurist Association (WJA) is a US-based non-governmental organisation, founded in 1963 to provide a forum for lawyers, judges and academics seeking to promote the rule of law worldwide. The website gives information about the work of the Association, events, membership and internships. The Publications section lists WJA conference papers ("WorkPapers"), which can be ordered for a small fee; it also provides contents lists and abstracts for the Association's journal, Law/Technology (volume 36 onwards).
