This SAFLII database provides full text access to judgments of the High Courts of the Eastern Cape in South Africa. Decisions are available from 1996 onwards to date and can be searched or browsed alphabetically by party name or chronologically by year. The Southern African Legal Information Institute (SAFLII) is a collaborative project of the Wits Law School in South Africa and the Australasian Legal Information Institute (AustLII) providing free South African legal information.

International Consumer Protection and Enforcement Network

Website of the International Consumer Protection and Enforcement Network (ICPEN) a membership organisation set up to help governmental organisations involved in the enforcement of fair trade practice laws in different countries share information about cross border problems affecting consumer interests. The site gives details of ICPEN's activities which include internet sweep days targeting illegal internet scams. There is a list of member countries with links to their trade practices law enforcement authorities along with a page of links to related organisations.

Centre for Human Rights

Website of the Centre for Human Rights which is based in the Faculty of Law at the University of Pretoria. The Centre's activities are detailed on the site and include academic programmes, projects and publications focused on human rights law in Africa. Centre journals include Human Rights Law in Africa and the African Human Rights Law Journal. A comprehensive collection of global human rights documents and African human rights documents are provided along with constitutions and other human rights legislation of individual African countries.

Eurojust

Eurojust was established in 2002 by the European Union. It seeks to faciliate cooperation between the EU member states in investigating and prosecuting serious cross-border crime. Its website provides information on the role, structure and activities of Eurojust. Official documents are available, including the Decision establishing Eurojust and its rules of procedure. The site also provides press releases and Eurojust's annual reports from 2001 onwards.

Canadian Institute for the Administration of Justice

The Canadian Institute for the Administration of Justice (CIAJ) is a non-profit organisation whose aim is to improve the quality of justice in Canada. The CIAJ is based in the Faculty of Law at the University of Montreal and its activities include organising conferences and seminars, conducting research and producing publications. The site provides background information about the CIAJ including a brief history and details of the Board of Directors, members and staff.

Office of the Commissioner for Federal Judicial Affairs Canada

Website of the Office of the Commissioner for Federal Judicial Affairs (OCFJA) the Canadian body whose role is to provide administrative support to the federal judiciary and safeguard its independence. The Commissioner is also responsible for the administration of federal judicial appointments and the site includes information and guidance on the appointments process. There is background information on the Federal Court and the Federal Court of Appeal along with law reports which are made available in either full-text or digest form.

Website listing Australian legal resources compiled by the Parliamentary Library at the Parliament of Australia. The links to Australian law and justice resources are provided by government and selected non-government organisations. Avocats Sans Frontières

Avocats Sans Frontières (ASF) is a Belgium-based international NGO. Its membership mostly consists of lawyers and its aim is to promote justice and the rule of law, and to defend the civil, political and other rights of the most vulnerable people in the world. The group's "Lawyers for Lawyers" project aims to support human rights lawyers whose professional independence is under threat. Press releases, a free newsletter, activity reports and other publications are available on the website, plus details of ASF seminars and training. The site can be viewed in English, French or Dutch.

Legal Service of the European Commission

The Legal Service of the European Commission is the in-house legal adviser to the Commission. Its functions include drafting legislation and representing the Commission in the courts. The Legal Service is also responsible for coordinating the official codification of Community legislation. The website gives background information about the role and structure of the Legal Service, including an organisation chart and links to official documents and related organisations. It is available in English, French and German.

Open Society Justice Initiative

The Open Society Justice Initiative is a programme of the Open Society Institute, a private foundation established by the philanthropist George Soros in 1993. It is concerned with the promotion of law reform, the protection human rights and the development of international law. The site gives details of current and past activities, covering areas such as national criminal justice reform, international justice, freedom of information and expression, equality and citizenship, anti-corruption and development of legal capacity.
