National Intellectual Property Center

Website of the National Intellectual Property Center (previously the Georgian Patent Office) the body responsible for granting patents and registering trademarks in Georgia. The site provides history and background to the setting up of the Center and the development of the legal framework relating to intellectual property protection in Georgia. There is guidance to patent law, trademark registration and copyright protection in Georgia including copies of the relevant legislation (in English) and PDF copies of required forms.

University of Durham Human Rights Centre

Website of the Human Rights Centre at the University of Durham's Department of Law. The site gives details of research projects being undertaken at the Centre. These are focused on the areas of International Human Rights, European Human Rights and domestic law. There are profiles of staff at the Centre along with a list of their publications. The site also provides a link to the Department of Law's Human Rights Act database containing bibliographical references to articles and cases relating to the Human Rights Act 1998. Links to related human rights websites are also given.

International Center for Transitional Justice

The International Center for Transitional Justice (ICTJ) is an organisation working with countries where there have been mass atrocities or abuses of human rights. The site outlines the Center's research, training and legal and policy analysis and makes available its reports, briefings and other publications. The organisation has initiatives in Africa, Asia, Europe, the Middle East and North Africa.The site is in English, Spanish, French and Arabic.

Refworld (UNHCR)

A large collection of law and policy documentation relating to refugees and statelessness, provided free by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) since 2007 as a resource for decision-making on refugee status. The database includes country reports sourced from the UN, NGOs, governments, international organisations, academic institutions and judicial bodies, focusing on the country situation and human rights issues.

Danish Civil Aviation Administration

Statens LuftfartsvÁsen, the Danish Civil Aviation Administration is the government organisation responsible for aviation regulation in Denmark, the Faeroe Islands and Greenland. This website outlines the organisation's responsibilities as regulator and gives an overview of its vision and organisation. There is an area giving access to Danish air law and regulations, including links to international organisations concerned with establishing international aviation standards.

Transitional Justice Institute

Website of the Transitional Justice Institute, a research centre based at the University of Ulster. Transitional justice is defined on the site as being the "interim legal arrangements which come to the fore as states enter into transition from violent conflict to peace and democracy". Profiles are given of staff at the Institute along with details of their publications and links to full-text articles where available. Details are given of forthcoming events and research projects taking place at the Institute. A Peace Agreements Database is made freely available to browse or search.

Patent and Trademark Office of the Principality of Andorra

Website of the Patent and Trademark Office of the Principality of Andorra (OMPA) the government department with responsibility for intellectual property matters. The site provides access to full-text intellectual property laws made freely available in English in PDF. These include laws relating to trade names and company names, establishment signs, copyright issues and patents. There are also regulations and guidance to obtaining an ".ad" domain name and laws relating to the use of state emblems and signs.

Consell General Principat d'Andorra

Website of the Consell General Principat d'Andorra- the Andorran Parliament. The site explains the structure and the role of the Council General and gives the names of the members of various Council General bodies. There is a full-text copy of the Andorran Constitution available in English and a link to the Official Journal of the Principality of Andorra. Written and oral questions can be viewed on the site along with laws passed from 1993 onwards. Although parts of the site can be viewed in English, French and Spanish most of the site is available in Catalan only.

Constitution of Andorra

Full text copy of the Constitution of Andorra made freely available in English on the Consell General Principat d'Andorra (Andorran Parliament) website. The Constitution deals with the sovereignty of Andorra, rights and freedoms and the legislative procedure. It also sets out the role of the state bodies including the Coprinceps (the President of France and the Bishop of Urgell in Spain), the Consell General, the Executive Council (Govern),the Constitutional Tribunal, local government and the judiciary.

EU Bookshop
