Social Security Programs Throughout the World

A four volume series covering social security systems in Europe, Asia and the Pacific, Africa, and the Americas, produced by the US Social Security Administration (SSA) and the International Social Security Association (ISSA) and made freely available on the SSA Website. This reference work provides summaries of social security systems in individual countries up to 2018/19. The publication has now ceased, but the website links to ISSA country profiles that are still updated.

ADR now

ADR now is a website provided by the Advice Services Alliance, the umbrella body for independent advice services in the UK. The site provides practical information on the different types of ADR (alternative dispute resolution) services including arbitration, conciliation, mediation and ombudsmen. Each section looks at how the process works, when it is used and an idea of the likely costs. The site looks at how ADR can be used for problems arising in particular areas such as benefits, employment, education, health and social care and money and tax.

Securities Class Action Clearinghouse

The Securities Class Action Clearinghouse website is produced by Stanford Law School in association with Cornerstone Research, a business litigation consultancy. The site provides "detailed information relating to the prosecution, defense, and settlement of federal class action securities fraud litigation". There is an index of filings presented with case summaries which can be browsed chronologically or by company name. Decisions are arranged alphabetically by company.

Compliance Online

Compliance Online is a subscription website providing information on banking, insurance, governance, financial crime and international affairs. The site includes news, comment and analysis and in-depth articles. Links are given to FSA (Financial Services Authority) papers, consultation documents and policy statements. The compliance timeline gives details of and links to UK, EU and international legal and regulatory documents covering each subject.

Federal Aviation Administration

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is part of the US Department of Transportation and is responsible for the safety of civil aviation. There is an area of the site devoted to regulations and policies, including access to the Regulations and Guidance Library comprising a set of searchable databases relating to relevant regulatory information. An Airworthiness Directives database is also accessible from the site providing all directives in operation.

Civil Aviation Authority

The website of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) is an online resource providing information about the CAA's responsibilities and activities in the area of civil aviation. As aviation regulator for the United Kingdom, the CAA ensures that UK civil aviation standards are set and adhered to. Its prime areas of responsibility are air safety, economic regulation, airspace regulation, and consumer protection. The site is organised accordingly, and each section gives comprehensive information about policy, procedures, codes of practice, regulations, and relevant legislation if applicable.

Irish Aviation Authority

Website of the Irish Aviation Authority (IAA) the body responsible for safety regulation of the civil aviation industry in Ireland. The site provides information about the IAA including annual reports, IAA policies and flight statistics. Full text legislation relating to the IAA's areas of responsibility can be viewed on the site. These include airworthiness operations, aerodromes and airspace and air navigation standards regulation. The site also provides information on pilot licensing and a PDF copy of the Irish Register of Civil Aviation Aircraft.

National Institute of Military Justice

Website of the National Institute of Military Justice (NIMJ) a non-profit organisation based in Washington DC whose aim is to "advance the administration of military justice in the Armed Forces of the United States". The site provides access to a range of documents and links relating to military justice in the US including basic documents such as the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ), the Manual for Courts Martial and a Military Justice Fact Sheet. There are recent legal cases, reports and commentaries and legal materials relating to military commissions.

International Portal of the University of Alicante on Intellectual Property and Information Society

This website is produced by the Law Faculty of the University of Alicante in Spain. It covers industrial and intellectual property law and the information society and is aimed at researchers, students, and professionals. The site provides a database of national, international and European Union legislation (in the original language) and a set of links to other relevant websites.
