Dispute Resolution Services: ICC: International Chamber of Commerce

Dispute resolution section of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) website. Provides information about the ICC International Court of Arbitration and other ICC dispute resolution services, covering costs, rules, model clauses and other topics. The Professional Development section has a link to the ICC Dispute Resolution Library (however, this is easier to find from library.iccwbo.org). The Dispute Resolution Library is partly fee-based, but has a free facility for looking up ICC awards to find out where they have been published.

Coalition for the International Criminal Court

The Coalition for the International Criminal Court (CICC) is the primary NGO provider of online information about the International Criminal Court. There is a link to the International Criminal Court (ICC) website detailing stages in its implementation. The site provides organisational, historical and general information on the ICC along with details of updates and developments, current cases and situations.There are documents from the United Nations, governments and non-governmental organizations accessible on the site.

Amsterdam Treaty: a Comprehensive Guide

This Guide is provided by the European Commission as part of its Summaries of Legislation website. It gives the background to and objectives of the Amsterdam Treaty which was signed by the European Union member states in October 1997, amending two of the EU's fundamental treaties, the Treaty Establishing the European Community and the Treaty on European Union. A number of key issues are covered, including the Treaty's bearing on international security, human rights, social policy, foreign policy, commercial policy and EU institutional reforms.

Chartered Governance Institute UK & Ireland

The Chartered Governance Institute (formerly Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators) is an independent, self-regulating professional body, founded in 1891 and incorporated by Royal Charter in 1902. It is the leading professional body for company secretaries and corporate administrators in the public, private and voluntary sectors and acts as the professional forum for members and students worldwide. The website of the UK & Ireland branch contains information about the Institute and details of governance qualifications.

International Constitutional Law

International Constitutional Law (ICL) provides English translations of constitutional documents from many countries of the world. Documents are cross-referenced to enable comparison of constitutional provisions. The site is edited by Professor Axel Tschentscher, LL.M of the University of Bern in Switzerland and details are given of other contributors. The site provides online constitutions, background and historical information for a number of countries along with more limited information other countries.

Bracton: De Legibus Et Consuetudinibus Angliae

On the Laws and Customs of England is a comprehensive work on English law, written in the 13th century by Henry of Bratton (Bracton) and others. This electronic version is a co-production of the Ames Foundation, the Harvard Law School Library, and the Legal Information Institute, Cornell Law School. Latin and English versions can be viewed separately, or together in a split-screen display.

European Central Bank (ECB)

The European Central Bank (ECB) implements the monetary policy of the European Union, and in particular maintains the European System of Central Banks. It is the central bank for the European single currency, the euro. Its website has news, statistics and information on the euro, monetary policy, payments and markets. The ECB's reports, reviews and papers are available on the website, as are its Monthly Bulletin, Economic Bulletin

House of Representatives - Diet of Japan

The House of Representatives is one of the two chambers of the Diet or parliament of Japan. Its website provides information on the function and current structure and organisation of the House. It includes some details of the Japanese legislative procedure. Also available is a list of current members of the chamber and some information about the relative strength of representation of the key political parties in the House. The site is available in English or Japanese.

Publications Office

The Publications Office of the European Union is the European Union's official publisher. Its website includes the EU Bookshop as well as links to key resources including EUR-Lex, Tenders Electronic Daily (TED), the EU Open Data Portal, the CORDIS research and innovation database and EU Who Is Who. It also provides background information about the Publications Office and a newsletter which covers EU policy and recent publications. The interface is available in all the EU languages.
