National Centre of Legal Information of the Republic of Belarus

The National Centre of Legal Information of the Republic of Belarus was created in 1997. It is a centre for the accumulation, storage, systematisation and dissemination of legal information in both paper and electronic formats. In the field of Internet technology, the Centre has the tasks of: providing free online access to Belarus laws and other legal acts; providing online access to the National Register of Legal Acts of the Republic of Belarus; providing the world community with official texts of Belarus legislation in English.

Constitution of the Republic of Sudan

Electronic copy of the 2019 Constitution of Sudan made freely available online by the Comparative Constitutions Project at the University of Texas at Austin. This is Sudan's transitional Constitution which establishes a legal framework to guide the country through its transition period. There are sections on the transitional bodies including the Cabinet and Legislative Council along with a Bill of Rights which establishes social justice, equality and democracy in Sudan.

Northern Ireland Assembly

Official website of the Northern Ireland Assembly, the devolved legislature for Northern Ireland, established in 1998. The site provides information about the progress of bills before the Assembly; the text of bills from the current and previous sessions; Hansard from 1998 onwards; details of the making of statutory rules from 2011 onwards; committee reports from c.2011 onwards; research papers; news and other information.

Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of Europe

The Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of Europe is an institution of the Council of Europe. Its website provides details on its functions and recent programmes. It also contains a collection of documents, including the Congress's statutory texts, charters and conventions, minutes of plenary sessions, timetables of forthcoming meetings and the Congress's yearbook. The site is in English or French.

Labordoc

Labordoc is a searchable database which contains more than 360,000 records relating to the International Labour Organization (ILO) and other labour organisations, since 1919. Its coverage is very wide and includes materials relating to socio-economic development - especially work-related human rights issues. There is a strong focus on empirical literature, although some material on labour economics, gender economics and welfare economics is included. Much of the collection focuses on developing and transition countries. There are direct links to online texts from over 12,000 publications.

Constitution of Eritrea

Electronic copy of the 1997 Constitution of Eritrea made freely available online by the Comparative Constitutions Project at the University of Texas at Austin. The document sets out the functions and powers of the main branches of government including the executive, the legislative and the judiciary. It also addresses the nature of the relationship between the citizen and the state and establishes the fundamental rights of citizens in the region.

This list is to encourage academic discourse on the impact of the International Declaration of Human Rights 50 years on. Open to researchers and students, this list seeks to explore current issues and questions of the future relevance of the declaration & to be a general information resource. The site contains an archive of all messages submitted to the list (they are retained for 2 years) which can be interrogated using the free text or keyword search facility.
