Legal Wales

Website of Legal Wales a forum that was set up following devolution to bring together and promote the interests of the Welsh legal community. The organisation is governed by a Board representing the judiciary, law schools, barristers’ chambers and solicitors’ firms. Legal Wales holds an annual conference which focuses on constitutional and legal developments in Wales. A selection of keynote addresses and speeches from these conferences and other events can be viewed on the site. The Constitution and profiles of members of the Executive Committee are also given.

Welsh Legal History Society

The Welsh Legal History Society was founded in 1999 to promote interest and research into the history of law in Wales. Contents pages of the Society’s journal and a selection of full text articles are available on the site. There is also a selection of research resources aimed at researchers of Welsh legal history along with a page of links to databases and repositories containing historical legal materials. The site can be viewed in English and Welsh.

Bill of Health

Bill of Health is the blog of the Petrie-Flom Center at Harvard Law School and a forum for health law policy and bioethical issues. The blog highlights new research, legal developments and news in the areas of health law policy, biotechnology and bioethics. Posts are searchable by keyword and are available back to 2012 when the blog was started. A selection of digital symposia present articles on related topics including adoption, microdosing psychedelic drugs, Covid 19 and tort liability and health, disability and work post Covid.

Indigenous Law Portal

Large open-access collection of links to documents and websites concerning indigenous law, provided by LLMC Digital. Originally developed by the Law Library of Congress, the portal has sections covering the United States, Canada, Mexico and the circumpolar Arctic, and there are plans to extend its coverage to South America. Includes general websites, such as the Tribal Court Clearing House in the US and the Assembly of First Nations in Canada, as well as websites of individual tribes and NGOs and sites dealing with particular subjects (land tenure, environmental law and so on).

Constitution of Montenegro

Electronic copy of the 2007 Constitution of Montenegro made freely available online by the Comparative Constitutions Project at the University of Texas at Austin. The Constitution is provided in PDF and includes chapters on human rights and liberties, organisation of powers, the economic system, constitutionality and legality and the Constitutional Court. 

Office of the State Advocate

Website of the Office of the State Advocate, an agency of the Maltese government, which acts as principal advisor to Government in matters of law and legal opinion. There is information on the role of the State Advocate, profiles of the legal officers and news items. The site can be viewed in English and Maltese. 

Malta Legislation

Website providing free access to all Malta laws, including consolidated subsidiary legislation, compiled by the Office of the State Advocate. The consolidated legislation can be browsed by chapter or searched by keyword or title. The full text is presented in PDF in Maltese. Recent acts are found in the Publications section of the site along with legal notices, bye-laws and parliamentary bills. Video guides are provided to assist with searching along with a selection of FAQs. The site can be viewed in English and Maltese. 

Royal Court of Guernsey

Official website of the Royal Court of Guernsey which covers a range of activities including  criminal and civil court proceedings and meetings of Guernsey's parliament. The site has information on the court system in guernsey with links to the various courts. There is a copy of the constitution, a history of Guernsey law and court forms to download. Information on the different types of legislation and a link to Guernsey Legal Resources website is also given along with profiles of the Bailiff, Greffe and other legal officials.
